If you have larger 🍈🍉’s, you are going to want to consider sewing up the cleavage of the dress or they’re going to spill out, especially if you decide to just wear pasties. Also, for me, the sleeves wouldn’t stay up but some double sided tape did the trick for that! I wore this for a military ball and I felt like I stood out in a good way. No one else really had a velvet dress. Will recycle for another military ball for sure! Highly recommend but either get it tailored or tailor it yourself if you know how! It was actually a simple fix!

I wanted to love this dress. It’s so beautiful and otherwise fit well, but the bust was too loose and I typically wear a 34DD. I probably could have kept it and either pinned it or worn a cami or bandeau underneath, but that wasn’t the look I was going for. If you’re comfortable with a lot of cleavage this dress should be fine.

I've come to distrust clothing from Amazon, so I was very anxious about quality and fit. I'm incredibly picky, so finding a dress I even liked to begin with was impossible, much harder finding one in the color and fabric I wanted, below $100, and with good reviews. It just came in today and it's better than I expected, and exactly as I had hoped. It looks so beautiful. The burgundy is just like the photo. I'll be dressing it up with some replica vintage jewelry because I feel like this dress lends itself so well to a classic look. Fabric is just thick enough to feel substantial, but not overly heavy. Very comfortable and flattering in a way that makes me feel uncharacteristically confident, I love it. The waist highlights the figure well, but the sleeves help me feel "covered" in a way that an oversized t-shirt would. There's a little bit of stretch, but not in a cheap jersey cloth kind of a way. This dress is really going to help make for a memorable night, and I'm so happy I found it. I feel like myself wearing it. Anything else would have felt like a "wedding guest costume," not like "me, but in a nice dress." If you feel like this dress is very "you", I'd say go for it. It can be worn as is, but it's so simple in shape and color that it's very easy to dress it up with accessories that speak to you. Women's clothing sizes can be strange, but I'd say the 6 is relatively true to size. I almost always wear a 6 in dresses and a 4 in pants (but I sometimes have to go up or down a size). In this case, I'll be re-ordering a size down to match my pants size, because I feel that the waist and hips are a little bit baggy on me, and I find that the chest and shoulder area is very forgiving and will be able to fit a good range of sizes (especially if you're willing to use a couple safety pins). So if your dress and pants sizes don't match (like me with my wide shoulders and small hips) I'd say following your pants size is a good bet. I'm closer to 5'9" than 5'8", and the length on the size 6 is just long enough to look long and flowy and elegant instead of goofy. For me it hits just past the ankle. It covers the ankle fully, but I doesn't drag on the floor. I could wear flats or a short heel, but shorter women may want to go for a taller heel or choose to hem it. The only part I'm iffy on is the zipper. It feels like one of those cheap zippers that comes on every piece of clothing that only lasts a couple washes. If another event comes up where I'll have the chance to wear this dress again, I think I'll look into replacing the zipper, but for now it's fine. It's functional, and I'm packing extra safety pins and a small sewing kit just in case. Overall I love this dress, and I'm very happy with how it makes me look and feel!

I absolutely love this dress and it makes me feel amazing. The fit was a little tighter than I thought, but I still love this.

I don't like to write bad reviews, but this is intended to be constructive. I am a seamstress from way back (50 years), and the nap of fabrics like velvet should be smooth as your hand moves down from top to bottom of a garment and rough as your hand moves up from bottom to top. At least the whole garment was the same way, so that was consistent. Otherwise, I was happy with the construction, especially at the price point.

This dress was beautiful. I say was because I had to return it. Reading reviews, said to order up, so I did. I think I could have went with my regular size. I ordered the blue, I absolutely loved the color and material. It was a heavy material, better for cooler weather. I'm short, so I expected it to be long. It was long, but not terribly long. Wearing heels would have been perfect. I ordered the 22 (originally an 18). I'm about 5'2" It was overall big and hung off my shoulders. I will order again.

This “blue haze” colored gown is size 12 and matches my eye color perfectly. The fit of the bodice on me is almost perfect (my measurements are 39-1/2” bust, 33” waist, 39” hips). Its deep-cut v-neck works with my Victoria Secrets bra (wire-free Body by Victoria, size 34DDD). The dress lining gives the gown elegance as it moves around my shape. I will hand-stitch the bodice where the fabric crosses to ensure that the bodice pieces stay together and that where the shoulder seams meet my shoulder don’t slip off my shoulder. Zipper is hidden, and its pull-tab’s construction is sturdy, delicate-looking, exactly what one would expect on a quality garment. I plan to wear this gown to my daughter’s bestie’s evening November wedding activities so the short, ample-width “petal” sleeves give me some flexibility for the fickle weather Kansas offers in November (snow, rain, wind, or heat).
