The dress that I had just spent months altering and fixing and making accessories for from another retailer (it is a very simple dress and should not have had so many issues - although these issues probably would have been less noticeable in a more complex dress). Anyway, I hated how easy it was for me to see in pictures where things had to be fixed so I came onto Amazon in a desperate attempt to find a replacement dress 20 days out. I came across this dress and loved the simple elegance of it. It advertised as a sweep train, like the one I was trying to replace. The reviews, and few pictures, helped me feel like this dress was the answer to my need. But then when it came time to choose a size, issues and anxieties set in. Both the image size chart and Amazon’s size chart said I should order a 12 due to my bust, 38”. But from having to try on dresses in the past I’m closer to a stock 10 (I think they auto size larger for dresses like this because they assume custom tailoring is going to happen anyway? Well, I ain’t got time for that 20 days out.) Then I noticed a comment from the seller that it runs a little small and should size up. Ok, back to a 12. But then I noticed a comment somewhere, from the seller? In a review or question/answer? That the fabric has a slight stretch and to order normal size or size down. Ok, back to 10. But THEN Amazon size suggestion said I should order a 6 or an 8 due to my other clothes purchases/similar size reviewers. So I looked through the reviews more specifically looking for sizing clues, and decided to agree with Amazon’s suggestions and bought both 6 and 8. This confusion is the only reason I am rating it a 4 vs a 5. I paid a little extra for faster shipping due to the 20 day outlook and they shipped! But then there was no info and no movement and the anxiety set back in. What if they arrived 5 or less days before and they were too small and I didn’t have time to try anything else?! I’d be stuck with the dress I was no longer happy with! Maybe I should get the 10 and 12 too just in case?! I calmed myself down and trusted the process, Another reviewer said hers arrived in 2 days. Patience. And all of a sudden, they were delivered. Ordered June 6, arrived June 9. I tried on the 8 first. Fit the hips well (41.5”) but the waist (29”) and the bust (38") were a little loose. It probably would have been fine if it were the only one I ordered, but I probably would have been tugging it up all day/night long, and that’s just obnoxious. So, I tried on the 6. Magic. Hugs my hips and properly/securely fits my waist and bust. Got a cute little belt to cover up the seam where the bust connects to the skirt. Simple. Elegant. Sexy. Because the fabric has a stretch to it it is a slightly thicker fabric. I am probably going to get a bit warm but it’s worth it (why did we decide to get married in the summer??). It does have a lining. My shapeware is close to my skin tone so I am not sure how colored undergarments would show/not show underneath, they prob wouldn't tho again due to the thickness of fabric. Also because of the stretch I do not need to worry about squatting down to reach for something lower (movement is more free/natural) than my original dress without stretchy fabric - bonus, AND due to the stretch, no alterations in fitting needed - double bonus. The ONLY issue (that really wasn’t an issue at all.....and may be really just due to being short) is that this dress has a legit train, not a sweep train (I am wearing heel/wedges in all pics to show the length - I’m 5’2”, with the shoes 5’ 5”. So, not only did I need to hem the front, but I needed to figure out something to do with the train because our ceremony is going to be in the woods and a train could be really bad. I decided to put in a permanent bustle so that the hem would be level all the way around, just off the ground, but it would give some body and movement to the skirt rather than just cutting off the train completely. Also note, that no, the white dress isn’t white white. The lining is though. I guess it’s more of a soft ivory. The only way that this would be obvious is if you have a white accessory that will be right up against the dress fabric or you’re set on having a pure white dress. I love this dress. I now feel like a bride. I am so happy with how it fits and how few alterations had to be done to fit my needs and I won’t have to worry about how it will look in pictures. My only wish is that choosing what size to order would have been less stressful. But it all worked out. My long review is in hopes that either the size chart from the vendor gets updated, or it helps other future brides more easily decide what size to order. Ps - I did return the size 8, but probably because I paid for shipping to me, I had to pay some shipping to return? It wasn’t a big deal and it automatically came out of my refund. It was worth it to be sure I had a dress that fit well. I will update my review post wedding!

Absolutely beautiful and well made wedding gown. Had been looking at David’s bridal, however with my pregnancy we decided to elope and save the big reception for after our baby is born. I wanted a simple dress with a train and it is just that, very elegant and simple. Would do nice with a sparkly belt or satin sash to add contrast to the mid section, or definitely fine on its own. I went up a few sizes since I will be 6 months pregnant when we say our vows. I was going between reviews for people my height and size and am happy with the size 14, it fits now (5 months pregnant) but still have some stretch and room to grow within the next 4 weeks. The hook and eye makes it easy to zip by myself in the back. Is a bit of an off white color, did not notice until I hung up next to my fiancé’s white shirt that I bought for him to wear. Not a big deal, tho. Will need to take in for steaming because the train is crumpled from shipping. I would highly recommend this dress to all brides who are on a budget and want something elegant, well made and comfortable. I cannot wait for my big day. I am very happy I was able to buy a dress online, being pregnant and fit! I feel beautiful in this dress and am very happy with my purchase. Also ordered 3 days ago and arrived today before estimated shipping date-score!

This dress is actually very good quality for the price. I am using it in a costume but it would be a perfect wedding dress too for the budget bride. However, I am a size 0 and the smallest this goes is a 4. I knew I would probably have to alter it some but there is not a chance it's staying on as is. It just falls right off my body when fully zipped. It looks like I need to take off about 5-7 inches around the stomach area for it to fit correctly. I'm 5 ft and 100 lbs for reference.

I left my review on the company's actually website. But here's an idea of what the dress has to offer. 1. It's Ivory and not white ( cream) that was a plus for me. (It's also available in a beautiful wine color) 2. Awesome customer service, I was saying it was too short at first but I bought a lace boleros and that sorted my issue as I was able to pull the dress down a bit more and not wondering if the girls would play peekaboo. 3. The material is stretchy and thick very good quality. 4. I usually wear an 8 but I bout a 6. 5. It came earlier than expected.

This is your confirmation! Buy this dress! I ordered a different dress on Amazon and got a bit discouraged when it did not look flattering on me. After doing some more searching I found this one. It fits perfectly I weigh 168 and I’m 5’5” I was stuck between getting and 8 or 10 do to my hips and went with the 8, so glad I did! So flattering, so pretty and can not wait to wear it on my wedding day ❤️

Beautiful dress. Especially at this price point. It is not really sheer. Very figure hugging, but still a flattering shape. Only returning bc the top doesn’t have enough support and is loose. I’ve had breast cancer with reconstruction and can wear a strapless bra. I think that if I could, I may have been able to make this dress work better.

This dress was kind of heavy and took some creative thinking to come up with a way to keep it up without adding straps, but it offered the simplicity that I was looking for. I have scoliosis and the curvature of my spine is pretty noticeable, so I purchased the dress a couple of sizes bigger and had it altered to fit me with all of my imperfections! I’m normally pretty self conscious, but I felt amazing in this dress! Apparently, the fabric that this dress is made from is very easy for a seamstress to work with… or so I was told!
