I wore a mulberry silk slip purchased years ago on Amazon. I think the silk slip added a bit of flow to the synthetic fabric without being fluffy. The scarf and shoes were also from Amazon. The necklace was from Effy. The earrings were from Ross dress for less. My opinion: I don’t have much bust these days but I do have a big belly with fleshy arms. This dress photographed well and was comfortable to wear. I suggest a real silk slip which gave a beautiful drape and flow. I didn’t have a safety pen for the top opening so the slip made the effect look intentional. I recommend a push up bra for the flatter busted women if you want the push up effect. I purchased this dress at the last minute and was surprised that it actually fit.if I changed anything, I’d have worn a brighter more ornate scarf and bolder necklace. This dress looks equally well with gold or silver. Other colors and shoes would work well. I have fallen arches in one foot, but if I didn’t, I’d get beautiful heels. My point is that the dress acts as a canvas that you style based on your theme. I have a pear shape and carry my weight in my belly. Tip: fit the belly not the bust when ordering and get a push-up bra and silk slip - not plastic polyester if you want the fabric to breathe in warm weather. For those who like belts, the waist seam is above the natural waist. My age is mid 60’s so you can make this look younger or older with your hair and accessories. Although I prefer the silk slip feel and elegance, this dress would also perform beautifully with a small petticoat for a bit of fluff as the dress glides when walking. I’m serious about the push-up bra. This dress can be dressed up or dressed down. I could imagine the bridesmaids walking down a sandy beach barefoot with dresses blowing in the sea breeze. A good photographer can make that happen. 1000 women could wear this dress and accessorize it differently and this dress would look different or all wear the same accessories and look like a uniform. I don’t like tight sleeves and this dress let me move my arms without worrying if I would tear the sleeves. This sleeve feature came in handy when I held one of the toddlers. A small crown or crown of flowers or small hat would have been a nice touch, but I thought maybe that would be too much. Nope. Not too much for New Orleans. ... show more

Worked perfectly for a wedding I was in! Super pretty dress and great quality and great material! It took me two orders to get the size right but once I did it fit perfect! I took my measurement but when it came in it was a little big so I ended up going down a size. Not sheer at all.

After ordering 14 dresses for an upcoming formal wedding, many of them fit and looked nice, but none had the perfect combination of fit, comfort, lightweight but not too light material until this one. I am uncomfortable showing my upper arms, but get hot with long or fitted sleeves and this dress had just enough sleeve to cover my upper arms while being light and fluttery and not hot or constrictive. The neckline was not too low or too high. The dress is not tight but is slightly form fitting and I didnt want to wear a smoothing undergarment because I get hot and I also wanted to be comfortable for the 8 hours I'd be wearing it so I was very happy with the material which had enough weight to it to lay properly and flow with my movements but not too heavy that it clung or that I felt weighed down and hot. The ruffle down the front helped distract from my belly which I can be self conscious about. I'm not young anymore and while its flat standing up, when I sit, I get rolls and the ruffle and non clingy material helped camouflage that. The dress is stunning, BUT I was extremely disappointed when wearing this dress on a warm, spring day, the fabric started smelling awful. many people said it was similar to the smell of marijuana and the stench was Strong !! I had to change into another dress for the reception because the smell was making me sick. It was really unfortunate and I miss the return window so I guess I’m stuck with it ... show more

This was just okay. I'm 5'9" 180, and it was a great length on me, I wanted it to be long. It was off the floor but just barely so with heels, it was perfect. I didn't care for the fabric, it was not what I think of when I read chiffon. It was polyester, so the price point was a bit high for that quality. (It seems like it should be in the >$50 range.) The fit was also not flattering on MY body type. I have an hourglass shape and this belting hit me right below the chest making it more of an Empire waist. Also, there is no zipper, you just pull it over your head, so good luck girls with larger chests! I got it on okay, but getting it off forced me to pull it inside out over my head. Oh my goodness isn’t perfect. I’ve been ordering and returning bridesmaid dresses for months. This one finally is not only good quality but flattering! I can even nurse my baby in it. It’s more of an empire waist on me probably due to my large bust but the skirt has a decent amount of fabric so it hides the tummy without looking maternity. Although if you were a wee bit pregnant you could probably wear it. Anyways love this dress and thankful to have found a bridesmaid dress. ... show more
