I ordered several different Mother of the Groom dresses. Some came from Ever-Pretty and others were from chinese sellers. I purchased 11 dresses total in different sizes and styles. Four of the dresses were from Ever-Pretty. Ever-Pretty was more true to size, made well and the right length with dress shoes. The other 7 dresses were all size 16 but none of them fit the same or were true to size. Several were too long. I am 5'5" and the length was more for someone who was over 5'8" which means I would have needed to pay for altering. Several of the dresses did not have zippers but instead were a lace up. Not practical at all and finally, the bust on these dresses were meant for someone who was a A cup not a B or C cup and the bust area sat weird on the chest, too high. I am a normal proportion woman and even though these dresses were beautiful, the fit was off and very strange. And lastly, I would not recommend buying a dress anywhere except for Ever-Pretty. Out of the 4 dresses I purchased from them, I kept this one, the light green dress and returned the other 3. I received refunds for all 3 and returning them was effortless. For the chinese brand dresses, returning them has been a nightmare. I returned half of them over 1 wk ago and to date have not rec'd a refund. The other ones I am still awaiting on a return label to be sent and for one dress, I have to pay return postage and shipping. The only company out of the group that did refund me quickly was YaquJie. I would not use the following sellers for these dresses, zhoufengsheng shop, Hamyn-US yonglei zhang shop, and Tonghengjie. If they decide to refund me my money I will certainly update this review. But save yourself the headache and stick with Ever-Pretty instead. He Fei Feng Xu Sheng Mao Yi You Zian Gong Si is the only company that has requested me to cover the shipping and handling. Their other option is to contact Amazon for a partial credit. Ridiculous. I have always enjoyed having Amazon Prime for the effortless return policy, but after this experience I am even questioning continuing my subscription. So disappointed. ... show more

It fits perfectly. I’m 5’7” with boobs and a bit of a belly. I typically wear a 14 and ordered a 14. The empire waist is very flattering! It’s simple yet elegant. The length is perfect! I have long legs. It touches at the top of my feet and doesn’t drag the ground. I tried on without spanx and no panty lines. It is not sheer. The material is a medium weight and not chintzy. Very well made. Great value for the money. It arrived kinda balled up but not very wrinkled at all. It will travel well and will only need a light steam. Was looking for a gown for a formal black & white event. This gown was pretty, appeared well made. Was very long I’m 5’1” & I can no longer wear shoes higher than 1 & 1/2” so both the outer layer & lining would both have needed shortening by a tailor & both layers were very full skirts (not sheath style) probably expensive to alter. I really love this long gown/dress. Wore it to a wedding and the fit around the chest & waist, the flow of it, comfort and simplicity is just wonderful. Got lots of compliments! Ordered a plum color, Size 16 to be safe. I’m normally a 14. The only thing I did differently was take it to the seamstress and had it hemmed, since I’m short, but overall, the top was fitting, not loose and not tight so a Size 16 was perfect. The dress is nice, but the sizing is off. I ordered 2 different sizes. I bought a 12 and a 14, because of the reviews and the size chart. Both came in as XXL, and neither fit.

I bought this to wear for my daughter's wedding. It fit perfectly right out of the bag and needed minimal steaming! The material is soft, flowy and very flattering, and the lace applique under the bust dressed it up without being too gaudy. I loved the higher round neckline. It wasn't too high, so nothing was close to my neck, but there was also no chance of cleavage showing. I received so many compliments! I have only tried it on (they want these reviews so fast!!) and haven't decided if I'm going to keep it. It seems to be exactly as I expected. The color is beautiful.
