  • Great part.
This part came fast and fit the car very well. I was a little worried as it comes folded up in the box. However, we left it unfolded in the house for a few days and everything relaxed. The primer was good, and it painted up well. All the parts we transferred from the broken bumper fit well. The car looks as good as new. If you paint these make sure you purchase automotive paint made for plastic as it needs to be flexible as compared to paint meant for metal parts. ... show more

  • Weighing my options to fix some of the most common collision damage. cheap...ish
When my 2012 Ford Fusion Sport had a small collision that damaged the bumper cover, wheel well lining and front valance, I wasn't sure how to proceed once I decided to fix it. An insurance claim seemed easiest but most costly with the inevitable rate hike so I looked into fixing it myself since I have some minor background in automotive repair. Finding all of the parts in a scrap yard would have been ideal but all of the Fusions like mine had bumper damage. I was able to get a wheel well liner and front valance for about $13. The cheapest I found those parts online was $65 and the reviews indicated poor fit/quality so I was lucky to find used OE parts. Now for the expensive part: There was no way to avoid buying a bumper cover for a 2010-2012 Fusion (which happens to be one of the most expensive) and getting it painted Ford's (UG) "White Pearl Platinum". I considered a few online sellers that would custom paint and ship the bumper but from what I read, only RevMoto does decent work, and at a premium price. I figured I'd save money and buy this bumper and get it painted at a local body shop. The shop ended up charging me $475, with a cash discount, to sand and paint this bumper cover which ended up costing me about the same in total as Revmoto. As for this bumper cover, I found it to be an excellent part just like the original; all the screw and clip holes lined up very well with just a little finesse. Getting the lower grille and fog light housings installed was probably the hardest part and requires some manipulation of the bumper and the help of a flat edge screw driver to force the clips into place. If I had to do it over again I might have gone with RevMoto, assuming the quality is equal, so I didn't have to transport the bumper cover to and from the paint shop in my trunk but buying this bumper and having it painted yielded fantastic results and this part is top notch quality. ... show more

  • SO FAR THE BODY SHOP LIKES IT.
I have not installed the part yet but my body shop guy complimented that it was a nice part. He compared it to other parts he has experienced. He said, many of the other front nose skins are very poor quality. He refused to paint or would not guarantee the others. I will update about the fitment of the part if it doesnt fit well etc. UPDATE... all the parts transferred to the new front cover pretty easy. You may need to take some excess material off in order to get the transfer items to fit, (light bezels, grill, reflectors, ets, but nothing drastic. Getting things to pop in place can sometimes be a pain. I would suggest a warm day to help keep the material pliable. Also keep in mind that there are 2 plastic screws covered in black caulk material that will need to be uncovered. This is to remove the grill from the old factory part. Also the license plate mount has two (one time use) rivets holding it on to the old bumper skin. I had to break them out and get two nuts/bolts/washers from my parts bin to mount it. You will also need to make 2 holes in the new bumper cover to mount it. Not a big deal, just trying to sane someone a little time by mentioning this. Here is a picture of the Factory (caulk covered) plastic screws mentioned above. Also my dremel tool taking some excess off of the new cover. ... show more

  • Bumper cover was folded!
When this bumper cover came it was folded in thirds! I do believe I can make it work after some flattening out the creases that resulted from the folding. Otherwise it looks great, just beware it might get there folded and need some straightening out.

  • Fit like a glove
Fit great, looks great.... one point of note... you will need to take the fittings off of the old bumper to install on the new one...

  • Mostly fit correct
The bumper itself fit fine. It straightened out well after letting it warm up. Unfortunately we didn't notice until it was painted that the left fog light opening was stamped out wrong. I was able to modify the hole and install the light upside down but it definitely shouldn't be necessary.
