First of all, I don't have loads of experience polishing cars. But using these foam pads has been an absolute joy! This pad set provides everything you need to remove minor scuffs and scratches from you paint so it will look like new. They worked waaaay better than I'd hoped, and they didn't shred themselves apart like I feared. They're nice & squishy and easy to clean, they've stayed soft, and even after hours of use I'm not really seeing much wear on them. Outstanding! The slit on the pads help the pads glide with ease along the surface and edges. Maybe the color codes are just so you don't "reuse" a heavy cutter pad on a finish glaze during an operation, which makes sense. My opinion excellent value. Thank You

I was pleased with the product. I went through several levels of compound, glaze, etc. and it was nice to have the different pads in different colors. One of the things Like about these pads is the variety for different use. Each color corresponds to a different type of polishing and the severity of defect. I used the medium (blue) pad, and it did a great job on removing most superficial scratches as well as some deep ones. I suggest that you experiment before deciding on which pad to use. I have used these on several car projects and they work well for buffing out flaws in paint. They have held up well too. It really helped on my SUV. thanks

I was was given the chance to try these out and wanted to share. I owned a business that specialized in automotive paint correction and have many pads Iv’e used over the years. This is a nice complete set that will perform light correction and polishing. this includes small wool pads which are very useful. These are pretty decent pads and like them. I used these for my departments fire apparatus. They worked good for light defect removal. I liked the polishing pads and thought they finished pretty good. I have found that different compounds and polishes can work differently depending on the combination, as well as the paint type and hardness. These are nice entry level pads and would recommend.

I've recently started detailing the cars at my house. There is something really therapeutic about washing and detailing my own car. After some practice, I am really impressed with the results and by how much money I save doing it myself. I got this pad kit to use with my orbital buffer so I could fix some minor scratches and apply polishes and wax. So far, I have been really happy. I like the honeycomb texture design on the pads. I also appreciate that each pad is marked to explain the coarseness/softness. This kit has a good range of pads from ultra fine to coarse, so I have everything to do more significant paint correction and the basics. I used a few othe softer pads to buff out some minor scratches from my car with ease. I had a long, thin scratch running along the side of the car and using these pads, I couldn't see it after I was done. They feel well made and they come out clean each time I wash them so I have been able to get through several uses without damaging the pads. I think it's a good value to get all the pads a beginner would need and they have worked well for me.

These pads work great on my polisher. The diamond cuts in the pad help distribute and polish in dressing. The Velcro is strong and almost too strong. I actually ended up tearing one while trying to pull it off. That was my fault though. It's a good price for a whole kit. It comes with various grits and even some finishing wool pads. I like these better than the more expensive brands out there. These are equally as good if not better.
