I first purchased a similar top by Esenchel in a long-sleeved version and liked it so much that I decided to get this short-sleeved edition for a major trip earlier this year (a 131-day around-the-world cruise). The style is ideal -- it's great for casual wear, but you can also dress it up with a scarf or jewelry. I brought a bunch of multi-color scarves to coordinate six of these Esenchel tops I had purchased to wear for dinners in the Compass Rose dining room. They were wonderful! The fabric is soft and not too heavy -- the first part of the cruise included Hawaii and the South Pacific where the temps and humidity were often uncomfortable. The fit of this top isn't too "snug," which was great for the weather. It fits nicely across the shoulders and bust but then widens to a looser fit down to the hem. I'm a "larger" person (I believe "Juno-esque" is the term), and the cut of this top does a great job of accentuating the positives while minimizing the negatives. I used the ship's laundry service with instructions to wash in warm water and tumble dry on "delicate" -- and they came out perfect every time. Although the trip was cut short after only 53 days due to the coronavirus outbreak, I still managed to wear and wash all 6 tops at least twice and they held up just fine. Easy to pack (they don't take up a lot of space), and what few wrinkles appear usually disappear after hanging for a couple of hours. I'll definitely purchase this brand again -- I'm going to need a few more of the long-sleeved version for a trip above the Arctic Circle planned for next year ... !

I ordered this item in black and Royal Blue size 2 X. Having ordered shirts of this type before, I knew I may not like them as typically either the fit, or quality are never as expected. Still for the price wanted to give them a try. I am so happy that I did. First, the "GOOD" .They are very well made and the size is perfect for me. The quality of the material is a little on the heavier side but not so heavy that it droops on the neckline or feels like it is weighing you down. Due to the thickness you also do not need any other liner underneath, which is what I was hoping for. I found no loose threads or poorly sewn areas on either of mine. Now for the "BAD" (embarrassing, but feel it is necessary to reveal all!) I am 5'6" tall and weigh 178 pounds. I am not well proportioned. At the widest part of my hips I am 46" and about 38" around the waist. I don't have the "booty" butt but more on the flatter, wide side. (Boy this paints a beautiful picture doesn't it! Just trying to help girls, so will leave the critiquing of my body for another time! LOL). The material drapes beautifully. The shirt falls just about an inch above my knee. The size 2X does not cling anywhere on me, which is what I like. It is very flowy and loose fitting but not enough to look like a tent. It actually is flattering since it has a slight "A" shape. Certain fabrics in this style accentuates my hip area but this one does not do that. At my current size and shape I never wear leggings, but have to say I will with this shirt as I know I will have enough coverage to feel pretty but still not exposing areas I choose to not show off at this time! I am hoping that once I need to wash them, they will still look the same. I know I will use cold water and hang to dry so hopefully that will help. Well there you have it. The Good, the Bad (and the Ugly! LOL). Hope this helps someone out. I plan on getting more colors.

These have been my live-in tunics since I first ran into this brand on here. I just picked up a couple new ones in black and grey, and the fabric has a little more sheen and is less cottony-feeling than the previous ones. Still very nice and the sizing feels the same to me, but I prefer the texture of the previous fabric. I'm hoping they will soften up in the wash.

Ordered this shirt in all three colors when they were on sale - with free returns, I figured I had nothing to lose. So happy I ordered them, they're great! The blue and the black have a nice weight to them and are silky/soft feeling, very nice. My previous favorite shirts of this style were the ones here on Amazon by Lanmo/Larace and those are nice, but these are thicker and feel more substantial. The grey one is a heathered grey and feels like a regular t-shirt. It's ok, fit is as good as the other colors, but I personally prefer the material of the blue and black ones. Haven't decided if I want to keep the grey or not. The length is great for wearing with tight pants or leggings - covers my problem area of stomach/crotch easily and covers my butt. I ordered these all in XL and ordered an extra black one in 2x to see sizing. Size 18, heavy in the tummy, about 5'5", c-cup for reference and the XL fit great in the bust and arms and is loose enough in the belly/hips area without looking like a tent. The 2x is too big for me to wear it loose as shown (it looks like a loose, short dress that way), but I made a quick easy side knot in the front and it gives the top a nice look to wear with leggings or a fitted skirt while still covering my butt, so I will be keeping both sizes to wear different ways.

I bought this 2XL as kind of a Hail Mary. I'm a heaver gal (5'5 and about 290) and have a bigger belly, so tops are usually hard to find outside of Avenue. I wanted a more casual top to wear to work with leggings. I bought the Deep Gray color and upon opening it up I was pleasantly surprised at how soft the fabric was, which is a freaking bonus. I tried it on and to my genuine surprise it didn't lose its shape; it kept the wavy look at the bottom and hugged the curves in a good way. It goes over the butt nicely as tunic shirts should. As mentioned in other reviews the fabric is just thick enough that you don't need an undershirt. There's not that many downsides I can see/are worth mentioning. As far as washing goes, I wash on cold and hang it up to dry. (This is partially due to the fact that I do my laundry at an apartment laundromat, so I usually hang up low temp clothing items to dry to save money.) Will be getting more of these in different colors, def a good top!
