When I have something that needs assembly I often have a family member that helps me. I am in my 70s and don't have the strength or dexterity that I used to have and this time, my grandson helped me. Assembly went smoothly but it turned out we completely missed one step. I don't think it has caused any problems since this is a solidly made item. The various parts, like the frame, desktop, motor, etc. all went together fast and easily. Pre-drilled holes were exactly where they should be and matched up with whatever was being attached. I do have hearing loss, so whether or not the motor is noisy, I can't address it. To me, it is very quiet, and smooth operating up/down and stops quickly when you release the button. Since I am still re-arranging my computer room, I haven't tried to set the user stops for specific heights. The only negative I have is the pullout keyboard/mouse tray. My keyboard had its own wristrest that didn't allow it to fit because of the wristrest that came with the pullout. I had to remove the much more comfortable keyboard wristrest and don't like the small, thin, wristrest that came with this desk. I freely give this 5 stars for quality, workmanship, and design that make this a very usable desk. ... show more

I have two 27” curved monitors so the extra width does make a difference for me (compared to the 24” desks). I also really appreciate that it has a keyboard tray. The desk is very sturdy, easy to assemble, operate, and it is tough. This desk is perfect for three monitors. It has a wide range of adjustments so I don’t need a foot rest to make up for the height from desk to floor. The mechanics is smooth and super quiet. It was easy to put together. I love the hooks on the side for my backpack and purse. There is room if you wanted to add hanging baskets or shelves under the desk for your notebooks and stuff. I have been using the desk alone without the keyboard and it's a solid piece of furniture and operates very smoothly. Very easy to program the perfect height and it has no issues with the arms of my dual-monitor setup. The clamp for the arms goes over the wire carrier bit on the back but it's no problem and it holds on securely. The hanging keyboard portion broke on me (see original review below) but Ergear reached out to me very quickly on Amazon offering to fix the issue. I declined but I do appreciate the gesture of them addressing it, so I updated this with a fair review. Original review: (originally 1 star because I was SALTY after putting this thing together just to have some parts come out of the sliding mechanism) Desk itself was fine. The cheap drop-tray for holding the keyboard broke immediately. I am not dealing with the hassle of sending this piece of junk back. Get the one without that unique feature and it might be worth it. I am very pleased with my new desk. It arrived with no damages at all, which was great. I read in some reviews that it took a long time to assemble but I found out that was not true. It took me about 1 1/2 to 2 hours to put it together. The assembly instructions were very easy to follow. The hardware was all labeled nicely, which made it a lot quicker to install them. Some reviews talked about how the keyboard tray was flimsy, but the one I received was very sturdy. I would not recommend putting your full weight on it but otherwise it feels solid. The raising feature is also very nice. The motor is pretty quiet and the desk raises very smoothly to different heights. For the price this is a good buy. ... show more

The instructions were very good and the desk was easy to assemble. It is very sturdy raised up and travels easily up or down without effecting the items on the desk top. IF there was one wish it would be for the keyboard tray to extend further to the right (right handed) as to allow for a mouse pad. This desk is all that it was written up for. It's sturdy. It's heavy. The controls work beautifully. There are notches in the back to stream your chords and cables through which is handy. The keyboard drawer works beautifully and it's big enough to have both the keyboard and the mouse and mouse pad on it. Initially, this is a great desk. I love it! It was easy to assemble, didn’t take long. It works well, I wish it had wheels because it is heavy to move with anything on it. It’s perfect for working from home and having to stand to stretch and still work. A good price and a lot of desk space. Only complaint is the track for the keyboard shelf is a little weird.
