I am a big fan of Broadway music. I recently (2013) saw the PBS 25th Anniversary edition of Les Miserable with Alfie Boe, whom I also greatly admire. At the end of the show, all the cast members from the other anniversary editions came out and sang some of the more popular songs together. Michael Ball played the original Marius, and I was absolutely bowled over by the beauty of his voice. I was searching Amazon right before Christmas last year, and ran into this "Encore" triple album by Michael, and snapped it up for a great price. This was to be my Christmas present to myself, and what a great present it turned out to be! I have probably listened to it 25-30 times by now--I have it on a loop in my computer. I consider this album money well spent, and will be watching for anything new from Michael to be coming out all the time. Buy it--enjoy it as I am--there's not a bad song on it. I must admit, I'm a bit more partial to the ballads, but they're all good songs sung by a Master. I wish Michael all the success in the world! ... show more

Michael Ball is my favorite singer and he has made many albums over the years. There are 60 songs on this 3 disc set..among the best songs from stage, screen and love songs. We have given the set to dear friends on their anniversary, and to a favorite pair of round dance teachers who choose beautiful songs to develop dances for students and admirers. Again it is so awesome to listen to. His voice is magical. I have never heard anyone else that can sing like him or can hold an audience like he can. He is awesome. I wish we could see him in the states...

A 3 disc CD of show tunes and popular songs. Sung in varied styles and interpretations with that wonderful voice. Played it again and enjoyed it. Saw him in Les Miz , London, 1986 as Marius. Great then, great now.
