I have several complaints and observations right out of the box and installed. Aesthetically this is very pleasing and well designed. It has limitations like no clock or timers but it's cheap compared to the Kenmore we had to say goodbye to which would be $3500. This was $1600. You get what you pay for mostly. I am writing this only an hour or so after installing it and running the oven full for 30 minutes to purge. I'll come back in a few months or more with good or bad news. 1. No gas intake options. I had to use the spigot off the old range. So be prepared for 1/2" thread into the regulator. 2. The oven light button lights the panel and panel lights the oven. Oh, please....... Is this the start of a nightmare in coming months? I hope not. So simple a QC check. 3. Not a range problem as such. Even yoghurt pots use plastic stickers. It took longer to remove the paper stickers that ripped immediately than it did to install the range. Truly! Also, even Goof Off would not remove the glue. They need to feed this back to Chinese factory. Chinese stuff is amazon quality but they dropped the ball here. Just stupid and annoying. 4 The Oven/Broiler knob protrudes further than the other knobs and it's completely pushed in. I took care to measure the shaft but didn't dare to force it. 5. Whole unit gets very hot when oven is on. The door, top panel, everything. A kid would burn their hands touching it. 6. The burners do not automatically ignite when turned on. You have to push in the knob at the same time so this is very dangerous as you could turn on the gas and walk way. Most adults will get used to the foibles of this unit. If it works for a few years (two year warranty part and labor) then I'm fine with a classy looking cheapo. I am guessing that all of the Zlines and others are much the same and more costly. Many are just branded with different name bust same units. I looked at them all.
