I bought a lot of different swaddles but this one me and my husband love! I hope they create a winter one that’s a thinner fleece material we stay in a colder state so during winter her feet were cold so we had to go back to her fleece halo swaddle but once it warms up she will be back in it!

I love these swaddles (I have two, one for each twin). My babies were born at 29 weeks so they were in the NICU for 61 and 87 days. The nurses commented every day about how much they moved and how they always got out of their swaddles. A few weeks after birth and a few pounds later I went on the hunt for a swaddle that kept my baby alligators contained. These swaddles impressed me and every nurse. They commented on how much they liked them (once they figured out how to use them). We started using them in the NICU when our babies were around a month old and 4 pounds. They were big on them at the time but still wrapped around them and HELD them in! Pros: Easy to clean Contains arms from the strongest alligator babies Super strong Velcro Keeps babies cool with legs out One of the biggest things the nurses and I liked the most was the legs out feature, which we used once the babies were around 6 lbs. NICU rooms are kept around 75-78 degrees and my babies got hot! The legs out feature was key in keeping them cool which in turn resulted in a higher oxygen rate and lower respiratory rate (important in the NICU). At that temperature (75-78) they wore a onesie and the swaddle (legs in). If worn with legs out then they just wore a light cotton sleeper and the swaddle. One con is that these things are dang confusing if you don’t read the instructions! Once I showed people how to use them they are so easy. Another con is that I don’t think you can actually change a diaper without waking the baby in the night unless they are a super heavy sleeper and you’re a ninja- not a deal breaker because I want them awake to eat anyways. Fabric bunching- I would get to the NICU in the morning and the fabric would be bunched around their faces which is primarily due to operator error. So long as you make sure that you pull the swaddle down once zipped and before swaddling there won’t be fabric bunched by their face. The more they are washed the softer they get. Our babies spent WEEKS in these things and they are washed A LOT. The Velcro is still just as strong and the color has held up great. Washing tip- zip up and Velcro all areas before washing so they don’t attach to other clothes. Photos show legs in and legs out - great for swings! Anyone who saw how they worked would comment about how much they liked them and said “we wrote that brand down”! I would definitely purchase for a baby shower gift! ... show more

Great to keep the wandering arms in place while letting the legs stretch. Had to wake our newborn to eat while in the hospital and she's already giving us 4 to 5 hour overnight stretch at a little over 2 weeks. Our first didn't give us a 3 hour stretch until over a month old, but started sleeping through the night at 8 weeks when we transitioned to this swaddle. ... show more

*UPDATE: two months into purchase, 1.5 months into use and I still do love this swaddle but if it wasn’t for the summer heat I don’t think I would repurchase.. my daughter is now three months. I had to repurchase another since she runs so hot this is the only option for a bottomless swaddle. The stitching is starting to become undone, the zipper broke (though I was able to fix it) and the material has become easily stretched out from my daughter trying to break out of it and therefore the Velcro is not long enough to stretch the stretched fabric right enough to keep her in. Needless to say I’ve woke up too many nights, of what I thought were finally undisturbed, to the sounds of finger sucking and talking (baby babble) as she completely wakes herself up. Again, I still do love this swaddle but for the price of only getting less than two months of actual use I don’t think it’s worth it.. maybe recommended for a baby that doesn’t wiggle or fight the swaddle a lot in their sleep? I just think it should be made with that in mind already. I freaking LOVE this swaddle ! The Ollie used to be my favorite and I still really love it but with this California heat my little sweat ball needed something lighter. The problem is her Houdini escapes getting her hands out of her swaddles. Though it’s kind of a whole ordeal with the zipper and the buttons and the velcro, it keeps her arms and hands inside her swaddle and the legless option keeps her wayyy cooler especially since the material is so much lighter. If she’s wearing onesies it makes it super easy to do night time diaper changes too with her still being swaddled. Would HIGHLY recommend, and already have, for your own baby or as gifts. We bought these swaddles when our little one turned 10 weeks and decided she was going to break out of every swaddle we bought. This was the only swaddle that contained her and fit her during this challenging sleep time. We bought two of these and unfortunately the grey one has a zipper issue. If you don’t put it on just right the zipper opens from the wrong end which is a challenge when you have a stressed little one that you’re trying to put it on. The zipper on this grey stripped one is different than the zipper on the floral one. Choose the floral swaddle and you won’t be disappointed. Don’t order the grey stripped one. The floral one is perfect and exactly what we were looking for and a great deal after buying so many other swaddles that didn’t work this was a saving grace. ... show more
