  • great gun
when i got this gun i couldnt wait to open it. even though it's plastic, it feels like really high quality plastic and is durable. the sights are perfect and the mags are decent. the only thing is that it has low fps. 200-210 i really like the semi/full automatic settings. like i said, the sights are perfect. i will update the review if anything happens (sorry my foot's in that one picture) people say that the mags are bad and hard to load but they really are a lot easier to load than a lot of magazines. the thing is, the fps is really low so the gun is not suitable for battles because you have to get close to someone to fire because the aim will only be good for 20 feet. but they are good for paper targets but not cardboard. this is a really nice gun so i still will give it five stars. so, it would be good for short range targets but not for long range targets because the bullet will curve. overall, this is a great gun and it is really good so even though high fps is important, this deserves five stars. ... show more

  • Decent training tool for the price
From the perspective of someone with firearms and military experience, this is a great inexpensive product for drilling indoors. It is relatively well built for a plastic toy and is low powered so won't damage furniture or walls. I was able to modify it for use with USB-rechargable AAA batteries by bending the negative terminals in the battery compartment slightly upwards (this fixes many products when using USB-rechargeable batteries). I also painted white dots on the sights with some white primer I had sitting around. It comes with two mags of 16 bbs each that I fill with a small speedloader. The main places where this product could be useful for drilling are: - Moving through a building while firing drills - Sight picture acquisition drills - Target switching drills - Holster to sight drills As far as issues: - It weighs about half or less than the real thing - The reset on the trigger is not tactile and is long, so it will build bad habits - The safety is a small trigger instead of a switch, so it won't work if you like drilling with a safety - The pic rail is larger than standard size, so it probably won't work with your laser - There is of course no way to mount a red dot - The accuracy is about 200 MOA (3 degrees), so absolutely terrible and not an option for drilling accuracy like some airsoft guns can be But hey, its $35. You'll need some 0.12g 6mm BBs, which is about $7 per 2,000 and a speed loader is $7. I'd recommend some USB rechargeable batteries, which are $11 for 4. White paint is $4. Paint brush is $4. A target with trap is $23. So all in for a reasonably ok training system you can use indoors, you're looking at max $91, probably less if you have any of that stuff sitting around, and only $7 per 2000 shots afterwards. The laser based training systems have some advantages compared to airsoft, but they are single shot which sucks for most uses. After going to the range, which gets expensive, this seems like a pretty good option to keep around for when you're bored at home. Good product worth getting. ... show more

  • A lot to like, at least for a relative newbie
Where I'm coming from: I've handled a few real guns, from .22 - .357 and I wanted an airsoft that would get me a little closer to that than my first spring-action pistol, but without spending much. I'm just a "plinker" shooting at paper targets, so I can't speak to any sort of action shooting. What I found: I immediately appreciated the heft of this gun, and it's fit in my larger hands. The kickback isn't really near a real gun, but the added feature does feel great. When my wife tried it, she was smitten, she hasn't fired a real gun in a while, but this immediately brought her back. It came with a small amount of .20 gm pellets and honestly I wasn't happy with it's initial performance. I didn't know if it was me, the gun, the pellets, or what. I tried some .12 gm I had and my accuracy came back. I literally went from 1/10 to 9/10 making the target. Clearly the issue was pellets. Regardless, nice that it came with some to get you started if you don't have anything else. Also nice that it came with two magazines. The full-auto is interesting, but feels more like a novelty than actually useful. The semi-auto is more than fast enough for most needs, and you'll likely waste a lot less ammo. All in all I'd say this is a great starter, maybe even a short step up if you started super basic like I did. I would recommend picking up some lighter weight pellets, and given the cost of this gun, it's a small addition. ... show more

  • Absolute garbage
Absolutely a piece of crap. Bought it for my son for Xmas. Tried 4 different sets of brand new batteries and it wouldn't work. You would think for 40 plus dollars and having the H&K name some decent quality assurance would happen but apperantly not. Don't waste your money.
