I have an Elgato Key Light and this Key Light Mini. Both are bright, quiet, fantastic. Using them with a Stream Deck is the way to go. But the one thing to keep in mind with Elgato lights is that they only work when connected to your wifi, unless you want to flip the switch on them every day, which defeats the purpose. I have fast Internet, and my router is right next to me, but about once a week I notice in the Control Center app that one of the two lights isn't connected so I can't control it. If I wait, it reconnects on its own. But sometimes it doesn't and I have to flip it on/off again. That's annoying. ... show more

This thing is incredible! Being able to connect to it over wifi is so useful! Plus the ability to adjust on the fly with the side button wheel while out doing shoots is awesome! It gets incredibly bright, and being able to adjust the whites color helps so much! Super great battery life on top of being rechargeable in a flash! I use the Key Light Mini as a hair light in my video studio, and it works great. I love that it is rechargeable, which allows me to use it also when I record videos outside the studio. The light is remarkably bright and also allows changing color temperature, which is very important to me. My only dig at the light is the length the battery lasts. Elgato claims 4 hours at half intensity, but that seems a bit long based on my experience. I just have to remember to charge it before I film anything. For the price, the light should have a better battery and be a bit lighter. It's a great light, and I love how it integrates with the other Key Lights I use. Was shipped with a 8pk of can water and they busted. Took the two cans out and taped it back up and only went me 6pk instead. Product was sorta protected by the packaging. Product itself is amazing and it works like a charm. Amazon needs to rethink putting electronics in with liquids.

Last time I had this much positive user experience was when I used an iPhone and when I drove a Tesla for the first time. I was able to install the light panel on the Elgato clamp within a minute without needing any additional tools. Best purchase of 2024 so far.

I have a few other Elgato lights and bought this to try on top of my DSLR when filming video. Very happy with the results. Given that it is $100, it is a great deal. I wish the battery lasted like 25-30% longer. I'm sure v2 on this will have a little beefier battery. Right now at 50% brightness it lasts about 2 hours. If I turn it up to 100% its about 45 minutes. Not a bad tradeoff when you consider how much light it pours out. Also comes with a USB-C connector and an option in software to run the light entirely off the USB-C (to prolong battery life). ... show more

While it worked, it was great for area lighting in certain spots! Adjustable light temp and brightness, the works! However, after a few days of use, charging and discharging, it no longer turns on our even registers as being plugged into a power source at all.
