The roller works fine but the stamper does not make contact with the surface. There is a gap in the middle that remains visible. The coverage is limited with 1 or 2 swipes/stamps and multiple swipes actually makes it easier to see the print I wanted to cover. The refill ink is a plus. The small rectangle stamp is too small for most mail labels and again, multiple stampings revealed more of the address rather than covered it more - the ink seems semi-transparent, so the pattern in the stamp is important to keep distinct by not over stamping or it will blur and show the print below. The larger one I use all the time. It is great for junk mail and items that just have your address. I hate shredding anything because of the noise and constant waste of paper and would rather recycle so the stamp makes a great option. The smaller one I rarely use and just keep as a back-up for in my car when I want to get rid of receipts. The refillable ink that it comes with makes this a keeper. I bought this set to obscure my name/address stamp that's inside some books I'm donating. The roller version works well, though I needed to let the ink dry for awhile before closing each book. The "stamp" version isn't much use as I can still clearly read what is underneath it, even stamping a few times over. I bought this to block information on things that I recycle but do not want to shred. Unfortunately it does not work at all. I used it on multiple documents and the stamp does not cover up any information, no matter how many different directions and times that I stamp. The roller stamp does a slightly better job, but the information is still very visible through the ink. Going over the information multiple times does not mask it any better. I was super excited to get one of these so I wouldn’t have to rip the prescription labels off my medicine bottles when done. As soon as I used it, I noticed that it did not camouflage the font on the prescription labels. If you looked at the labels from various angles, you could still easily read what was written on them, even if I blacked it out completely with this gadget.
