This drill is AWESOME!!! I've had acrylics for decades, done in a salon so I'm familiar w/how the drill is used. But watching & doing are 2 very different things! It takes practice. This drill is very easy to handle, it is a "plug in powered" drill. I like this bc technically I'm a "beginner" so what took my amazing tech 1 hr took me 3hrs... lol Within 2 manicures, I've got it down pat & it doesnt take me that long anymore. But where it's a plug in & not a "rechargeable", I don't have to worry about it dying on me in the middle of my 'nail project'. So it really is great for beginners. This drill makes it so much easier- you can control the speed to go with your comfort level, it won't die on you bc of the plug in & as you master it, you can increase the speed. It comes w/all the bits you need. If you want to get add'l bits, they are all a standard size & there are "bit kits" you can comfortably buy online. Some addl info & advice: At first, I started doing my nails at home with dip powder; its awesome but my skin doesn't like it AT ALL. So I switched to gel & personally I find it's easier to use, shape & less of a mess overall. If you do go for the gel, be sure you get 'gel bulder' if you're adding tips (you glue those on). The builder is what makes your nails thicker & keeps those puppies on & in place! If you want to use less gel polish, think about getting a tinted gel builder (they come in all colors including clear). It will take less coats of polish, depending on how vibrant you want your color. Whether you use dip powder (it has a builder) or gel builder, remember this is the portion you want to shape, fix any thickness you'renot happy with, smooth & level bc the polish is going to go on top of the builder- if you even use color. Builder makes your nails HARD. That's why it's important to apply it before your polish (tips, etc). Or, use it all by itself. Use base coat, builder, cure. Each time you add a new layer of builder, cure it before adding another coat. It's ok if it feels tacky- that's normal. Double check your kit (sold separately) directions to see if you need the base coat with every application of the builder. I know dip powder does require you to do that. Once you polish, you cure, add more until you get the color you want, curing in btwn each coat. Once done, you put your glossy or matte top coat, cure & boom- rock hard awesome looking nails at home. Word of caution ⚠️... try to limit how much product & time spent using the lamp. It can irritate your skin bc these are chemicals that you are exposing to a deep penetrating heat (lamp). So only use what you need to. Once you've finished, if you decide you want to switch colors, I suggest waiting at least a week to give your skin a break from that environment. If you use builder, then polish, you can use your handy drill above w/the smaller steel barrel & shave the color off. If you don't use builder & just use straight gel polish, you need to soak it off with pure acetone. Something to keep in mind! Hope this novel I've written is helpful! ... show more

6/28/2023. The unit works fine, does a good job, happy with purchase. 6/8/2023 Update review. I found the customer service information in the box, and I reached out to them concerning the issue. They did in fact resolve my issue. The product works fine. It is not as good as the ones in the nail salon, but it gets the job done, and the attachments are easy to use. Got this on January 5th, 2023, but did not get around to trying it until today. No Power. I plugged it in and got nothing. I tried three other outlets to make sure it wasn't a bad outlet on my part. Still no power. A few times the board lit up for just a moment, and then nothing. The return time and support time have passed. I read the reviews and this was not one of the complaints, so not sure if I just got the dud, or they just are not worth it. I will try another brand, and not wait so long to try it out. ... show more

I bought this nail drill 8 months ago with the intention of doing my own nails. It worked when it arrived…at least it turned on which is all I did to test it. Then it sat in my cabinet for 8 months untouched. When I finally pulled it out to use it it wouldn’t even turn on. I plugged it in to fully charge overnight in case that was the issue. Still completely dead. Totally unreliable product. It says it has a one year warranty but I don’t have high hopes. The window for return is long past. Total waste of money. Never even used it once. UPDATE TO ABOVE: I was able to contact the seller who promptly responded and provided some additional tips for use. After doing those the drill worked fine (and hopefully lasts). The included instructions were complete but need to be followed exactly as there is no forgiveness for trying to simply operate intuitively. ... show more

I bought this to start using as I was doing my own nails. I absolutely love it. It works for me very well, and even my daughter will take it to use when she wants to use it for her nails when she does fake nails or acrylic nails.

Purchased in November 20. worked for a while, don[t use it very often. When I tried to sue it last time I had to remove button and press down on the shaft. Worked for time but stopped working. Now it doesn't at all.

The media could not be loaded. Very disappointed. Cute lightweight and the item is as described in the pictures. Unfortunately, it doesn't want to work. Will be trying another one if the problem still exists. Then I will move on to the next product. 3 stars for the look and as far as in quality So I am here with a update. I was able to communicate with the company JOEOEN through Amazon. I was sent a replacement in the same color. Unfortunately it did not work the button to press it and hold it down for a few seconds wasn't working at all. It was stiff and you couldn't apply any pressure. However the company allowed me to keep both machines. The first machine I was using a 99cent store grade extension cord, and it just wasn't enough power. I used a more high grade Circut Breaker and it is working better the Circut breaker was purchased back in 2021 at Home Depot. I am happy with my choice this Drill Bit is very powerful I love that it has bit holders and a usb port for other things to be hooked up like Uv lights and regular lamps for a close up look at your performance. I recommend this product. I also look forward to working with the company JOEOEN in the future for any upgrades and new products/ machines. ... show more
