The clamp is great

I really like the 3-piece, articulating clamp. It allows you to put it anywhere you want and adjust the angle. I keep it set firm but just loose enough so that when the flag hits something, it just rotates back without bending the flag pole. I also keep the pole placed just behind my elbow, so I can easily adjust the angle and lower (collapse the telescoping pole) it when I go inside or under a low-hanging tree. The flag pole is a little thin, but when used as I described above, it doesn't really matter. It has a foam grip at the base of the pole, as though it's made to carry in your hand, and that could be a little firmer so that the clamp could get a firmer grasp, but that's not a real hindrance. I had gotten another one of these with an orange flag with the wheelchair symbol. That one didn't work out for me, but I used the orange flag to replace this blue one. It's just too easy for the blue to blend into the background, especially in an urban environment. I feel much safer crossing the street with the orange flag. I do appreciate that the flag pole has a little ring to tie the flag to. It jingles a little, but it's not bothersome. The pole has a second ring to tie a flag to at the top, but the flag itself just slips over the top of the pole. The flag does slip up too far on the flag pole, however, so I used a binder clip at the top and removed the tabs (the blue and orange flags are made exactly the same, except for the color). The flag pole is thinner than the other one I got, but that makes it a little more flexible. I can't really say how much it would flex before bending or breaking. The clamp is the real winner here, and it makes it worth it. It makes the whole thing much more versatile, and it is not flimsy. ... show more

Half mast

Doesn't stay up. Hangs at half mast so I had to take it off. It prevented the elevator door from closing

Great flag

This was a game changer. I try and stay on the sidewalk,, but I cross a couple of 6 lane streets. I was using a make shift flag holder, a PVC pipe zip tied to the back of my chair. It interfered with folding the back to put the chair in a car and shifted around. This stays on until I want it off and easily goes back on The pole telescopes so I can lower it at stores with big displays the flag might knock off. ... show more

Makes me more visible

Got this and immediately replaced the pennant with something less generic, my Antarctica flag. Goes on nicely on my electric mobility scooter. Really like how it is telescopic makes it easier to store. Easy to put on and adjust.
