Pairs excellently with Edifier's r1280t speakers. Has a clean, refined sound and still woofs in fairly large or open spaces. The build quality is fantastic in its price category. The ability to pair it with powered speakers that don't have a sub-out is fantastic yet seemingly rare. I've been pleasantly satisfied with the T5s and appreciate the added depth/quality its added to games, music, and other content. I didn't need to rattle the seats in a cinema, just fill in the low end for a set of bookshelf speakers connected to a 60-watt receiver in my living room. The box isn't huge — it fits on its side under a console table after I added some silicone isolation feet — but the sound is good. The adjustable crossover is a nice feature, letting me dial in the right point so the bass is present without being too boomy. This is a must if you purchase any edifier shelf speakers. Even when the speakers have nice range of bass and treble, the subwoofer adds an important element of depth for lower frequencies. I love music in all of its formats, and this is a great entry level sub that has decent sound quality. The volume is quite loud but I rarely use it what I think may be 50% of its capacity. So, I haven't heard any distortion at all. Great value for the money spent. Finally, one thing I love about it is its size. Good Subwoofer for the price. It's more vertical than horizontal which helps with placing the device. Has enough Sub-bass to fill the air of a small or medium room. It has a volume knob to control the volume, a low-pass filter and a 0° to 180° o'clock phase switch with a power on/off switch with four RCA inputs.
