I have been trying to get outdoors more often because exercising at a gym is just too boring, but I kept running into two issues: Gym pants look weird on the hiking trail and bluejeans just weren't flexible enough for some of the things I wanted to do. So I got these instead! I'm happy to report they are absolutely what I needed - I have a much better range of motion than I did in my jeans, they look smart enough to wear out in the town, there's plenty of pocket space with the right-side cargo pocket and the two large back pockets, and they aren't hot like blue jeans tend to get in the summer. I will say that these seem like they will need an underlayer during the winter, but that's no big deal, I already have underlayers I can wear with these. Lastly - I've seen some people describe these as baggy or loose. Because of that, I picked a size down from what I'd usually get, and that seems to be perfect. These are straight-leg pants, not slim-fit, so they are a little loose around the ankles for ventilation.

These pants fit snug, which I like. By snug I mean they are going to show off your butt much more and the crotch area is tighter without being uncomfortable. For a guy who doesn't want some baggy pants, these are at a great price and have a great fit.

I got these as a dual purpose for my husband. He loves to hike but we also have a summer wedding to attend and instead of buying dress pants he will never wear again we went with these and are super pleased with the fit, color and quality of the hiking pants. He really liked these.

pleased for the 2x I've worn these pants. little longer inseam than the 36x30 I ordered, but I can live with that (I'm short). would've given 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact that these are the replacement pants. the first pants Amazon sent was different and it was majorly torn in 2 places (left shin and right hem) and had a severe friction burn left rear pocket area. No exaggeration! How did that first pair pass QA as first quality in the factory? Kudos to Amazon for making me whole I think ... or was ship'em, return'em and replace'em the plan from the start?

These pants fit well. I ordered 34x32 and am roughly 6'1" and 195. Material is nice. Zippers work good. Very faulty stitching around the pants pockets. I think other reviews have noted that same issue. After first wash, the stitching on the back pockets are loose, which really making them useless. Stitching around some of the front pockets also coming loose. I am keeping them though because I just wanted a pair of pants to work in the garden or around the outside of our house. These pants work well for that. If Eddie Bauer would fix the stitching issue, these would be excellent pants.
