Great Environmentally Friendly Option at a Good Price

I loved these cups as an alternative to plastic. I was serving a large crowd and using that much plastic would have sent me on a very long guilt trip. Additionally, I appreciate the 12 oz option. I find that people end up pouring out much of what you serve in a 16 oz cup. Less waste all around. Handy little cups

These cups are pretty handy to have indeed. Especially if you are hosting a party, or any kind of event where drinks will be offered. Perhaps a school dance, for punch. Whether it's a home event or gathering, or a school, work, or company affair, these cups are versatile and super handy. They are the perfect size for small hands, or for a quick drink and toss. Perhaps at a sporting event, to serve water. A lemonade stand, or cookout. They are awesome little cups, all around. The only problem I have with them is the over $100 price tag on them. I mean, yes, you get several sleeves, quite a lot of little cups. Are they worth that much though? I just don't think so. If I caught them on sale, with a decent mark down, I would definitely buy them again, and recommend them. At $100+, despite how much I liked them, I would have to go with something else. ... show more

Nice disposable cups, and a large quantity of them

My oldest has some neurotic tendencies, one of which is not drinking out of glasses or mugs in our house. He's been that way since he was a toddler...and several years later, it's still that way. That said, disposable cups are a must-have in our house, although really only used by him. Here you get a LOT of cups, which is great. The price-per-cup is plenty suitable (considering what we pay for lesser quantities), they're sturdy, and they're just the right size. It's hard to award a gold medal for a plastic cup, but this has everything that we'd want to see in one. I can't quite get a grasp of how accurate the claim that "PLA plastic is more environmentally friendly" is -- from my basic understanding & limited research of it, it does appear to perhaps be better than some alternatives, but not necessarily the miracle material that it's often made out to be. That said, if it's truly in any way better than other types of plastics that are often used, then it's a (perhaps only minor, I still can't tell with certainty) "bonus". ... show more

I love the product. I've been ordering from this company with no issue for a while. We pay extra to provide a compostable product at our church because we care for the planet and want to be good stewards. So, imagine my surprise when I open the thick cardboard box to find the cups wrapped in this silver-exterior, styrofoam product liner that can't possibly be recyclable or biodegradable. The thick cardboard box is assuredly enough to protect the cups. It's not the flimsy cardboard that some companies use. This is unacceptable. We'll need to find another company for our compostable products if this companty doesn't respond with assurances that they will stop the counter productive nature of busienss. ... show more
