I purchased this as a mostly identical replacement for an model I originally bought at REI several years ago. I’m usually an 8 wide. I have a hard time fitting shoes since my feet are like trapezoids. These have the best position and comfort for my lil toe that usually conflicts with most manufacturers stitching and build. The 8 to 8 1/2 (Size 42) I had ordered is slightly too long but could work. The 7 1/2 (size 41) fits great and the straps fit my feet best. .. I wear these at the beach, river rafting, anytime really.. they work with nice casual attire even to church. If I’m just walking, I don’t usually don’t strap the back heel but just Velcro it to itself. I tried a few variety of the Chaco’s, but the width and arch didn’t fit my goofy foot. I actually paid more here online at amazon than I did at REI on sale a few years back. These also have great tread. The soles of my old ones are actually warn pretty good, but still usable. Actually my big toe worn thru the top fabric, which motivates this purchase.

They are adjustable and makes it fit my feet perfectly. Once they are adjusted I am able to take long hikes in the mountains or walks in the neighborhood without getting blisters.

Let me start by saying I was hesitant to buy these for my Husband as he has a wide foot and they do not come in wide. Also, they are expensive. That being said, he never can find a pair of shoes or sandals that are comfortable for walking and a lot of his friends have the Ecco golf shoes or sneakers and rave over them.. After reading the reviews and some of them stating they too have wide feet and they fit great, I decided to take a chance and order them.. He got them and tried them on and they fit perfectly! He wears a 9 1/2 , so I purchased the 9-9 1/2 and they were fine. He said they are super comfortable and seems happy with them. Although they are pricey, I am happy he can walk without complaining and no achy feet or legs! I would definitely recommend this sandal.

These are my second pair of the sandals, identical to the first. I tortured the first pair wearing them nearly every day (unless it was snowing), mowing the yard, in the rain and mud, hiking, and still they lasted more than 10 years! The velcro finally gave out, the sole got slick and, at 60+, I don't bounce like I used to. If I thought I'd ever wear out this second pair, I'd buy a third.

I truly miss my old Merrill sandals.....had them for decades. They had a better shape for your foot and really supported the foot from sliding. These sandals are "OK".....I waited until they were on sale to purchase because I think they are overpriced. They are not bad thus far, however, the ability to get out of them (vs my $15 Costco brand) is a bit much. My old Merrills had a buckle that you simply unclipped and you popped right out. My cheapos have elastic that allows fast on/off. These you have to un-velcro to get out of them. As for construction, they seem sturdy enough so now I will give them a run for their money and see if they last as long as my old Merrills or the cheap ones that I just bought for $15.....

This size 7-7.5 is the European size of 41. And this number 41 is what I had on my old pair, and I wanted to get the exact same size. In the description of the pair I ordered it did not say the European size so I took a chance. So I wanted to leave a review clearly showing this connection. After I placed the order all the communication from Amazon said both sizes. I have plantar fasciitis and I need the support of my arch that these provide. The only downside to this model is the use of velcro as the closing agent (vs a clip system). Eventually the velcro wears out and won't hold the strap closed strongly. The soles of my old pair are hardly worn at all.

My only complaint is I wear these with the Velcro tight as it will go, I don't really have narrow feet, but I am pretty lean and have boney feet. I have to tighten the straps all the way on these to get a proper fit. But to date these are by far my favorite sandals, I would buy them again.

I had a pair of these 15 years ago & they finally wore out. So pleased to find these & discover they're the same quality as my original pair. These are the only pair of sandals that fit my feet without the straps rubbing, making my ankles bleed. Worth every penny.
