Before this pair of shoes, I had Ecco Holton's. They were so much more comfortable and and were much better built in my opinion. For me, the sizing was perfect on the old pair. The same size on these runs small, even after a few months of wearing, and the next size up is too big on these. However, I'm incredibly satisfied by the support- I sent my pair of Holton's back when I bought these and they did give me a voucher for a free pair of shoes after the soles split after 3 years. Will I stick with these? Probably. Will I go search next time I need to buy new ones? For sure. Ecco- please improve your quality how it used to be and bring back the Holtons!

Have not used loafers in a while so was a little concerned when I ordered this product to replace my traditional shoe style. They are great quality and after the second day the comfort was at a 10. I got these because the ECCO golf shoes were so good decided to give this shoe a try: NO REGRETS

I actually returned my Amazon order of these as they were a bit too small even though it was the normal size I wear in Eccos. I was at the mall later on and stopped by the Ecco store to see if they had a larger size to try on. The clerk came back with the same sized I returned and explained they usually run large but then also explained how the dual insole works. When you get these in the box there is a second insole under the one you see on top. If you remove the one underneath, just a black piece of cushioning, and slip the top one back in, it not only make the shoe feel slightly larger it also makes it feel slightly wider. That was the trick I needed and they ended up fitting similar to other Eccos I have purchased in the past. We'll see now if these last as long.

I've been disappointed with Ecco shoes since they've been made in Asian countries. Some I have rejected several Eccos not worthy of the brand name due to lame materials, size/fit, etc. This shoe, currently made in Malaysia, is decent so far. NOTE: These shoes come with a DOUBLE INSOLE. They were unbearably TIGHT when I first tried them on. Then I discovered there is an extra insole on the bottom that can be removed to make the fit more normal. Helsinkis tend to be a little snug but tolerable for me, and this one is comparable to the ones made in Portugal.

I like these shoes. I first bought the brown ones, now the black. My experience with the sizing was a little odd. Brown 44 was perfect, black 44 was painfully tight, but 45 was perfect. The soles of the black 45’s are longer than the brown 44’s, so the different fit is due to the construction of the shoes above the soles. FWIW-I usually wear a 12.
