Had some of these in my teens maybe early 20’s. They are still the same. I’m 67 now and bought a pair to wear to work. I’m required to keep my toes covered in my job and so for the summer they are light and cute. Of course flat as a pancake inside no support. Plenty of room however to add gel soles inside if you need a little support, which I did.

I grew up loving shoes that were just like these. Simple, inexpensive and cute. If you’re looking for arch support, look elsewhere, but with $15 shoes you can afford to buy some support insoles. As others have said, the buckle system is quite as stable as it could be.

I'm not particularly sensitive to odors, but these shoes give me a headache. I've left them outside in the weather, I've run them through the washer and dryer, I've waited weeks, and they still stink. They smell like a refinery. The rest of the shoe is great, exactly the Chinese Mary Janes I wanted, but I cannot wear them in a situation where I'm going to be sitting down for much of the day. They've improved enough that I can no longer smell them when I'm standing, but sitting down I'm too close to them. I'm hoping they'll improve more, with time, since I love Chinese Mary Janes and would love to be able to wear these more often. Edit, 3 June 2015: I'm happy to report that these are wearable now. Back when I posted this review, I tossed the shoes in an open box in a storage room. Yesterday I was doing something in the room, noticed the odor of these shoes and so remembered them, and pulled them out. I can certainly still smell them when I'm close to them, but I can wear them while sitting at my desk and not particularly notice the odor. It seems that some of these shoes come without the odor; but if you get a pair that stinks, try sticking them away somewhere for a year. They might be wearable when you get them out again!

About the shoes cuz I'm going to budget and they're adorable but I have put them through the ringer and they are still just holding up beautifully. If you looking for something to wear with a dress maybe if you have to work in it and you still want to look elegant I would highly suggest these shoes. They're not going to break your bank. Sizing is pretty accurate. They may need a little bit of support in the soul but for the event you're paying for the shoe you can easily get the supports for them. These are great shoes!

I used to wear these shoes as a child and I was always very happy with them. So I decided to purchase a pair now. I was not disappointed. They fit just right. I wear a size 11. I have some what wide feet. There was no issue with the fit of these shoes. If you like to walk around in your bare feet these are the shoes for you. You don't feel like you have shoes on at all. I would never wear them to go hiking or to the beach . They are not made for those kinds of activities. I do wear them for the usual every day activities like going to the store, walking in the yard, doing work on the house, shopping etc. I plan to buy another pair to wear in around the house as slippers. There are two issues with this shoe. One is a little of the dye will come off at first. This wasn't a big deal for me but I don't suggest you wear them with white pants. The other issue really isn't a an issue. These shoes will stretch a little as you wear them. They do not become so lose that you can not wear them or they will fall off but it will loosen up a tiny bit. Other than those two things I will buy these again. I hope they offer some color options in the future. Update: I love these shoes. I really , really love them . However , do not buy these shoes hoping they will last a long time. My shoes are no longer fit to wear outside after having them for almost 2 months. The fabric is coming away from the shoe in the back and the sole is coming lose as well. I am going to buy another pair but I will also look for ones that are better made. Wish me luck.
