I don’t understand the trend of lighter, mesh style sneakers. I need footwear that works year round. So I prefer an all leather upper. I’ve purchased these previously and love them. They are very comfortable even with an added insert. They fit true to size. They keep my feet warm and dry so they can be worn in all seasons. They don’t look too bad style wise. I went with the black instead of the white this time as I find the white gets too dirty and repeat washing makes the upper section crack. The traction is a little lacking. I first bought a pair of these at another store and really loved them. About a year later, I came here and bought two more pairs. Months later, I still love them. Note, I have two reviews since I bought 2 pairs. Anyway, they work very well for my high arches and my need for ankle support, and they also help reduce my supination. I really like how they feel on my feet. The only thing I need to get better at is cleaning suede properly, so they last longer. I do have one minor issue: I ordered two different colors, and neither looks quite like the online photos. The blue is more blue-purple than blue, and the beige is more taupe than beige. That’s fine for now. When it’s time to replace them, I’ll probably choose a color that works with more of my wardrobe. For anyone who wants more details: Quality: very good Flexibility: excellent Slip resistance: average, not great for snow or ice (which I wasn’t expecting anyway). ... show more

    • Seam inside rubs a sore on my toe.

Nice shoes and fit good. I wear a ladies 8 1/2 Wide. My only problem is there is a seam in the left shoe that rubs a sore spot on my toe. The right shoe doesn't do that. I put a shoe stretcher in the left shoe to see if that will help. Otherwise this shoe is very comfortable after I changed out the insoles for the Walk Hero insole for planters faciitis. ... show more

Very comfortable, easily accommodates orthotics, seems to have good traction, even in rain. I prefer these with the shoelaces vs a slip-on shoe because slip-ons do not stay on my feet (narrow heel with wider ball of foot area). Because these are black there is not much need to clean them unless I got into some mud or something icky on the walkway. Seem to be water resistant, even with the rain here. Much better water resistance than those shoes with nylon mesh type of materials. Like these so much I've purchased my 3rd pair in black (cause I wear them daily) and I also have a pair in white for summer option. ... show more

The stripe is more purple than it looks on the website - which is good! The 3-star rating is due to the toe bed being narrower than I expected. I haven't worn it long enough to know for sure if this will be an issue for me. The major issue is that my previous experience with Easy Spirit shoes is that they are comfortable, well-cushioned and supportive. These are comfortable enough (aside from the toe bed), but there is absolutely no support. I will need to buy some different insoles. ... show more
