I have bought dozens of pairs of these Easy Spirit, easy to slip-on shoes over the years, and they are always the most comfortable of all, either just as they come or with their insole replaced with an orthotic. No exaggeration - DOZENS, because I love them and wear them daily! Sizing is almost always perfect, they are lightweight, breathable and very comfy (with supportive bottoms even with my high arch, and the uppers are never too tight) and their slip resistant soles make for secure footing even on wet surfaces and hills. I buy the Traveltime 280s frequently because their price is often lowest, but really love the Traveltime 234s very much (a great fit), even liked the glittery black 481 for fun, and this year for fall and winter branched out into the suede Equinox Mules - a different fit but also extremely comfy, good soles, and warmer. People commented on how cute they look. I also recently bought a pair of Easy Spirit leather Women’s Loafers and a pair of their Aeryln3 flats, just for fun to try over the winter. They both look great. Only one time have I ever had to return a pair of Easy Spirits, and that was back in 2013. Don’t remember why but I’m guessing I made a mistake in ordering. Fabulous. These Traveltime234 are very comfortable. My feet need an extra wide width shoe plus I need a mule because I get foot cramps trying to put my foot into your typical lace up shoe. They are so perfect for my needs that I've been buying Traveltime regularly for about 20 years now. The only thing is I occasionally buy a different color. I’ve worn Easy Spirit, off and on for years. I wear these in one style or another almost everyday now because my priority is comfort although I bought this pair to serve as a dress shoe for fall and winter here in our temperate climate. They have just the right amount of padding and are easy slip-on and slip-off. They are good for walking. There’s a little bit in back of heel to keep from sliding off when walking. These are leather, and look very nice with pants which I wear for all occasions. They come in different widths and half sizes and are true to size. They are 5 stars and more for me. ... show more

Size: 7 X-Wide Color: Black
12th pair of Traveltimes I've had, these are 7xw. I have a slim heel and instep with wide forefoot, so normal width heel and instep with a roomy toe box is a must, and Easy Spirit Traveltimes have always been great for that. I reluctantly took a star off for this new pair, as quality seems to have slipped: this pair is not consistent with prior design quality, as fine interior shaping has given way to full-foot width uniformity, probably because it's less expensive to manufacture. Prior pairs have had a properly-shaped interior - wide enough in the toe box and not too wide in the heel - but this pair lacks that interior shaping, fitting more boat-like, too wide in the heel and instep, not quite wide enough in the toe box. I put a padded heel insert in these which helps, though they are still sloppy in the instep. They do have good slip resistance and are reasonably attractive. Note to brand manufacturers and designers: a wide foot is not the same thing as a fat foot. A wide foot is wide because of the shape and placement of bones, not a bloated instep. Saving money by doing away with quality loses respect for your brand. ... show more
