Why I love this shoe: It's not fancy, but it's perfect for my daily power walk in Pacific NW winters. This is one of the few brands/styles you can find anymore that have a solid upper for water resistance. So many of the athletic shoes today have a lightweight mesh, which is nice for summer, but in the winter, a light rain (or detour into the grass to share the sidewalk)--and you're stuck with SOAKING wet feet (not a little wet, but wring-out-your-socks wet & shoes in the dryer). Not with these babies. While they aren't waterproof (don't go dancing through puddles)--they will keep you reasonably dry. So . . . good shoe; great price. The only reason for the four stars is the sizing is just a tiny bit off. I bought the wide size --normally this is what I use--but this shoe is a bit wider than I normally find in this size range, especially in the toe area. I have to tug the laces tighter to keep the front of my foot from sliding while walking so it looks a little pinched up top . . . but hey, it does the job and I'm able to get my 25-35 miles/week in! I am happy with the quality of the shoe. I am glad it is water proof and not made of mesh material (with the holes all around and on top of the shoe. Why would anyone want such a non water proof thing for a pair of shoes? Thank you for this quality pair of shoes. It is hard to find this these days.

I'm in my feel for 7.5 hours at work and these are amazing!! They have room for your toes and have such support and a cradle for yiur heal so your heal us supported so you dont lol over from side to side but are balance when you walk. I lift the cushioned support up and can place an orthotic under it too. I'm 54 and these are the best shoes. They dont wear out. They dont break down. Most people have feet problems because they dont have arch and heal support . Your shoes need to support your arch and not break down. These do that. But I do add a non bendable arch support insert also. Buy these already. My mom was right .. ... show more
