Our deck gets direct sunlight most of the day and has also taken a beating with many downpours this summer. These covers have single-handedly saved our outdoor chairs. They are super easy to put on and take off. No issues with leaking. Everything is completely dry underneath even with water pooled in spots on the cover. There are straps along the bottom but I've never needed them as they are pretty heavy and don't budge even in strong winds. So far there really isn't much fading but even if these lasted one summer (they will last many!) they would still be worth every penny.
