My son is a small 8yo, so durability isn’t really an issue. The bat has good pop, but requires break in. Don’t expect it to pop right out the box, you have to break in the composite, so it gets better over time. Keep the bat in the house, not the garage. Bought this for my 12 year old grandson. So far he loves it. Has not used it in a game yet, that’s the reason for 4 stars. He said it is nicely balanced and feels good swinging it. He is looking for something as good as his Mako Beast. Will update after spring baseball season. Update - after 2 months the end cap shattered and the bat had to be returned. It took 3 weeks to get a replacement, which took us almost to the end of spring baseball. Then after another 2 months, while playing the all star tournaments, the new bat broke and there was a big hole in the barrel. Returned it a 2nd time. We received our 2nd replacement and are hoping it will last through fall ball. Be advised if your child is a big hitter, this is probably not the bat for them. ... show more

Tons of pop, great sound, ball really springs off when barreled up. Slightly end-loaded, will take time to adjust to if you prefer a balanced bat.

    • Took Some Time to Adjust
My son has been using this bat for the past month or so. It did take some time for him to adjust due to the different weight distribution of the bat. He has been driving the ball hard to the gaps lately now that he is use to the bat.
