The Easton ghost is by far one of the top performers in competitive fast pitch bats. The sweet spot is very generous, it has a great sound, excellent balance and almost no hand sting. The downside however is how fragile these are. My daughter uses them in college play and it is common to crack 1-3 bats in a single year with normal use. Easton will replace cracked bats up to one year from original purchase, but after that you are on your own. If you are comfortable buying a new bat every year, this is a great bat for performance, but if you are concerned about durability you should consider avoiding double barrels and look at demarini CF or LS LXT, etc.. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Ok so we just tried out the bat....and on her fourth swing she hit the ball the best she's ever hit in her life!! 110 feet through two trees!! And she is not even a power hitter!! We have not used the bat in a game scenario yet but I was so impressed by our first use I had to post...as of today best bat I ever seen in my life!! So far so good. The bat is hot out of the wrapper. Great sound and breaking in daily. This bat seems mor durable than previous ghosts. Time will tell but we are looking forward to spring.
