I've enjoyed Eastland shoes in the past. After trying too many shoes to count from other manufactures I settled on the Sherry. Notice the word "settled". This is not the Eastland shoe of the past. The size is rather funky. An 8 wide was just right in the width, but my toes were right at the end of the toe box. I sent back for an 8.5. It was wide enough, and the toe box is the perfect distance from the arch, but they're sloppy in heel. I live in a cold climate and will putting on my wool socks soon so that will resolve the problem. The entire shoe is 100% man made. The upper is stiff. I'm hoping they'll break in a little bit without splitting right away. The material that makes up the sole is stiff and loud. No amount of wear will make it better. I really like the styling and was hoping it would make up for the drawbacks of 100% manmade materials, but I'm not confident. I'll wear them because it's so difficult for me to find shoes that fit comfortably and can be used in all settings. I'm just getting really disappointed in the lack of quality that's pervading so many brands that used to offer great quality products. ... show more

Amazon suggested I get 1/2 size larger. They were wrong. They slip off. Never again will I buy shoes without trying them on. I can't return shoes I've already worn.

I hate wearing tennis shoes with jeans, so I purchased these shoes……and they look awesome with jeans. I ordered my normal size and they are doable, but a little tight in the toe, so i would order a half size bigger next time.

I haven’t worn these very long, but I can usually tell the second I put shoes on whether they are going to be comfortable for the long-haul or I should just send them back. I was very pleased when I put these shoes on. There were no tight spots or areas that could cause foot discomfort if I was wearing them for any length of time. The last pair of these Eastland shoes, I loved. These are made of low quality leather that seems more like pleather and soles that seem more like plastic than rubber. I was going to return them, but was thinking maybe they would wear in and be more comfortable.
