  • Like magic
This stuff works better than anything I've ever seen, and it is an approved way to clean coins while possibly maintaining a straight grade with most coin graders. I personally haven't used it on anything with any serious numismatic value, but it has cleaned most proof "bullion" fine, with a few hard to remove clouds being outliers, as well as normal unc finish coins of which it works seriously well on. The coins come out like brand new, so if you aren't a fan of toning or just have some really ugly toning and underneath that is a beautiful uncirculated coin, I highly recommend this product for cleaning. My one qualm with this would have to be the quantity, and with the way you have to speedily use the product, you will spill drops of it over and over, eventually leaving you with less and less. I should also point out that you should use some sort of bib or apron when using this product, as it WILL BLEACH clothing. ... show more

  • Best coin cleaner
I usually cleaned my coins with either just water or olive oil. However, I heard you should not scrub the coins too much or they will become too scratched. When I tried E*Z*Est coin cleaner, I could not believe how well it works. I had some dirty silver coins that needed to be cleaned. I got a cotton swab, dipped it in this cleaner, and gently run it over the coin. In matter of seconds, I started to see shine on my coins. CAUTION: You should not put coins in this cleaner for too long because you will not only diminish the coin's appearance, but you might also lessen its value. I absolutely don't recommend using this solution on old coins (such as Roman or Greek coins, of which I have about 100). Those coins are meant to be dirty since they are so old. If you have silver coins, make sure that you you don't clean them TOO much since a bit of oxidation on the coin is fine to have. Also, make sure you have water to rinse these coins. DON'T scrub them, but have a soft micro fiber cloth to dry them off. Don't touch the solution with your bare hands. Use latex gloves. While the solution does not burn your hands much, the skin does absorb it over time. Also, the cleaner has a semi-strong smell to it. That's all I have to say about this product. It works great, but you have to be careful with it. The jar that it comes in is medium, but I think it can last me for years. ... show more

  • Terrible packageing
Product works ok BUT thin walled jar flexes, it is impossible to remove the inner top seal without product splashing out . Make an easier to handle jar with a plastic basket like your competitors do to raise and lower into the acid . And when you are all done and screwed the lid on it still seeped out, it’s only acid so don’t worry. I have had yogurt pots that are built like tanks compared to these ... show more

  • It works!
I discovered this cleaning agent for silver bullion coins. First use was for my wife’s silver jewelry and they came out great! I look forward to using it on my discolored coins.

  • Works like magic
Very seldom did I need to go back over with the toothbrush and baking soda to polish any stubborn areas they could use a better container though once opened you put the lid back on put it in a plastic bag and make sure it doesn't tip over cuz they do leak but the product is a definite time saver

  • Removes toning and tarnish effectively and gently from coins. But be careful.
Don't dip your coins. Dipping removes oxidation and a microscopic layer of metal oxides with it. If you dip a coin too much it can become dull. But if you are going to do so, this is the stuff. I recommend diluting this ten to one or even twenty to one at first. Use the most dilute form you can to get a coin as minimally clean as you can accept. It's a cornerstone of conservation to make changes as minimally as possible. That said - this is the stuff. It works like magic. Dip and 5 seconds later all metal oxides are gone. Be sure to rinse thoroughly. I don't love the smell and the container isn't the best made (watch out for spills and evaporation. But those are quibbles. ... show more
