I like the gel texture. For some reason there seems to be a bit of oil on the first squeeze so I shake the tube first and it blends. Most sun protection I use on my face tends to make my eyes sting and water and this does not. I don't detect a scent and just a small amount smooths right in. It is a good make up base and have no problem with my foundation gliding over it. It offers good sun protection. After being on awhile, most sunscreens for my face make my face feel and look greasy after a couple hours and all I want to do is wash my face. This does not do that on me. I've loved the SuperGoop brand of this for years, and decided to take a chance that this was similar, and it has not disappointed yet. Goes on smoothly, dries down almost as quickly, and there's no white cast or sunscreen feeling (ew). No smell, has not made me break out, and works great alone or under make up. Very nice sunscreen, I don’t think I ever leave 5 stars for sunscreen because I have not found the absolute perfect one for me, but this a solid very good 4 stars from one of my favorite brands, actually my absolute favorite brand at this price point. elf never disappoints. The only thing that could be improved is if this blended into my skin a little better without looking a little shiny, and all sunscreens get this same feedback from me. I have tried so many, I think it’s just the nature of SPF ingredients in any product. This product is one that I keep on hand at all times. Amazing dupe for Supergoop. Consistency is thinner and SPF is lower but for the price it’s a great product. Makes skin super soft and is a good primer under makeup or to wear alone. I didn’t experience and flashback with photographed which I usually do when wearing sunscreen. No breakouts or clogged pores after use. My skin is sensitive and this doesn’t irritate it.     • If you have mature oily skin and workout, I would skip.
I wasn't sure what to expect from this but I figured I would give it a try since I run outside ALOT in the summer and need that extra SPF on my face. I am 36, oily acne prone skin, sweaty person when I'm working out. It just didn't do it for me. It would make my makeup slide off my face (despite using ANOTHER tried and true primer over top), it is pretty greasy feeling, I did not enjoy the scent - I got fragrance free and it still had a weir plastic smell to it. It comes out clear looking like a thick primer. It is thick. It can be a little hard to spread on your face at times depending on what anti-aging products you have on. It did protect my skin from the sun. It did make me break out a little. If you have dry skin and no problems with acne and you don't need to wear makeup THEN I would recommend giving this a try. I’m beyond blown away by how amazing this sunscreen has worked for me! I’ve tested and been disappointed by SEVERAL sunscreens over the past 5 years on my hunt for the sunscreen that has it all or at least MOST of what I’m looking for—this elf sunscreen checks all the boxes! I actually feel confident wearing this sunscreen only with no makeup because it doesn’t make me more oily—no powder, no setting spray needed. And this is coming from the oiliest girl in the world you’ll ever meet 😂 who also is acne-prone, eczema-prone, sensitive with textured skin and hyperpigmentation. For reference, I included a pic of what my skin looks like. Not only is this sunscreen great without makeup, it works so well under my makeup as a primer and really controls shine, which is a BIG one for me because I’ve tried other sunscreens—Black Girl Make it Matte, Vacation, Cetaphil, Centrella, this list goes on…Nothing has held a candle to elf. Not to mention how affordable it is! I’m beyond grateful to have come across this sunscreen after seeing all the hype on TikTok and finally breaking down & getting it. I’ll start by saying I’ve tried numerous facial sunscreens. From drug store to high end. I’m a daily tretinoin user and therefore my skin tends to lean towards the drier side. This sunscreen is similar to Supergoop but it’s much more hydrating. Not greasy, hydrating. If I had oily or combo skin, I don’t think I would like this product as it would be too hydrating. When I first apply it does feel a little heavy but it dries down within a few minutes. It glides on very nicely(feels like luxury skincare)have not tried it under makeup but it pairs well with my other skincare I use prior to sunscreen. No pilling, it dries matte! It’s invisible, so it’ll work with ALL skin tones. If you have drier skin or use tretinoin give this sunscreen a shot! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed! ... show more

    • Smells weird but feels nice
Affordable Supergoop dupe that smells like plastic but smooths on nicely and kinda doubles as a primer. Nice that’s it’s clear. The smell is off-putting but goes away quickly (unlike the microplastics that are probably in it, but whatever, the world is ending anyway)
