For the price, this is good but not great. I appreciate that the pans have a decent amount of product and are large enough to easily get a brush in to them. I also really like that the pans can be easily removed so you can put them in something like a Z palette. The mirror is large and I think that's a great positive aspect of this palette. It travels well and I like that. The highlighting shade (top left) is a bit glittery for my taste. I'm extremely fair and even on my light skin, it gives a bit of a chalky cast as well. But it's functional and if blended out really well, you get a very subtle, natural highlight. The light yellowish powder (top right) is good for setting the undereye area, although I find I need a light hand or it can get chunky. It does oxidize a bit on me, but it's definitely not bad. This powder and the bronzing powder are definitely my favorites. The bronzing powder (bottom left) was a pleasant surprise. It's a neutral tone that seems to work well on a variety of skin tones (I had a few friends who wanted to try it), although it's fairly subtle and would probably be too light for anyone darker than a medium skin tone. It's buildable and there is no shimmer in it, which I appreciate. The contouring powder (bottom right) was a disappointment. I love the color, as it's a cool-toned but not ashy color that would be ideal for my fair skin. The issue is that it's really patchy and streaky. It sticks to the spot where you first put it and for the life of me, I can't get it to blend out. When I tried using this for contouring my cheeks, I ended up with muddy looking dark patches after blending heavily with a brush. I removed all my makeup and tried again, this time blending it out with a damp makeup sponge. Still no luck. I will save this for contouring under my chin, where the patchiness won't be as noticeable. But this will never go on my cheeks again.

This contour palette is AMAZING! I think that any shade skin you might have you can make this work for you. I'm "mocha latte" as my hubby likes to call the shade of my skin. The e.l.f. Contour Palette can fit most any skin shade from light to dark from my experience with it. It's not just to color or powder your skin, it's used to bring out the features you love best or want to accentuate and also can hide and blend off into the distance features your might want to sculpt and bring attention away from. Me = my nose. I am not ashamed but it is my least favorite feature. With this contour palette I can place shades to bring out the feature and make it look a little more slim than it is by using the lightest going down the top of my nose, then with another brush (mind you, this does not come with a brush but you can find them at a good price which I'm sure I'll review sometime) :) anyway then for me I take the darkest and shade the side of my nose. Voila, I am done. If I have time I also sculpt the 2 medium colors over my brow and under my eyes to brighten them. (Like you can brighten brown eyes ugh... lol) This product is an amazing price and an amazing product. It's fun when I have time to play around with new tactics. Like I said, it does not come with brushes, but e.l.f and other companies have brushes here at Amazon at great prices and styles for shaping. Browse all you want, but if you want a good contour palette at a great price, you can't do better! :D

I am very fair skinned. It is hard to find light colors in contour for us! I saw this and thought the price was right to just try it. Also it is dye free. I am allergic to red dye and finding makeup is not that easy for me. It arrived in a nicely packed box. It was intact. As you can see, there are four colors. I have only used two of those. The lightest colors - obviously. I am always up to try new things with my makeup but I wasn't for sure I could pull this of. I wore it to a wedding shower and got compliments on how good my skin looked! I am sure it was the contouring. I used a stiff thin brush for each of the highlighting and the shadowing. It does not come with a brush nor is there anywhere to store even a little brush. A little does go along way with a bit of this. I had learned how to contour a couple of years ago but could never find the right shades me. This is it! Don't be afraid to try it because it is not that hard. Look for YouTube videos or just a diagram of how to contour your shape of face. It is easy to do once you know what shape of face you have. I don't know that I will put the time in to wearing this everyday - but when I have the time I definitely will. I would say that once you get the hang of it - you can do it in about 5 -6 minutes. I highly recommend this product.

It arrived as pictured. The colors are captured and depicted accurately and yes this contour pallets can be used on woman of color, as I am. I absolutely LOVE this non- irritant contour pallet( I have concerning sensitive skin). The mirror is large and that’s a plus not only is it affordable but it gets the job done effortlessly. It is cream based and lasts all day. I would compare elf to black radiance however it’s a little more affordable. I use this palette for contouring and most importantly a concealer under my eye area. This product does not leave behind a cast, it blends extremely well especially for my dry skin. This pallets will NOT cover as a foundation. I would highly recommend this product, it’s easy to use (beginner friendly) , and have directions on the box.

this product is good for starters. I have medium toned skin with warm undertones and the only contour color that shows up on my skin is the darkest shade. the highlight shade sometimes looks too powdery on my skin
