This is a beautiful minimalist desk that looks amazing. It is well built and almost perfect. I wanted it for my kid to be his student desk as well as a PC desk. I say almost because in my research I missed that it is a "hollow" desk and not solid wood (although it looks like one). So if you are looking for a solid wood desk, look elsewhere. I would recommend this desk, it looks amazing. If you want to add a keyboard tray, then read on. When it arrived and I wanted to add a keyboard tray, I realized that the top was much lighter and upon tapping found it hollow. That was a problem for us. Shipping it back would have cost as much as the desk itself; I also visited the various local office supplies stores to find a different desk. In the end, I didn't want to spend too much money. After 3-4 hours of thinking and looking at the assembly instructions, I found a way, did some quick math and put the desk together 1. First of all, I had to buy a few things from the local hardware store. - Rubbermaid laminated shelves: Two of the 24" x 8" and one of 36" x 12" (bear with me). - I was going to add the 24"x8" shelves between the legs and the top of the desk. They add about 14mm to the desk, so the supplied hardware (32mm M6 screws) would have fallen short. So I also picked up eight of the 50mm M6 screws. - The keyboard tray rails were ordered from Amazon.com (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AHFRUHE). I have used these for multiple projects, they are very good. 2. Then I got to work. - The 24" shelves fit perfect to the depth of the desk (although it hangs about ~1mm on the back (which didn't bother me). I added the two shelves on the side. Using a paper template, I drilled holes at the exact location where the legs would fit. If you alignment issues, you can always drill larger holes; but template works great. I also chose a contrasting color for all three shelves so I do not have to worry about not matching the desk color exactly. Rubbermaid has like 5 different colors. See Pic 1, 2, and 3. - I assembled the legs using the new longer M6 screws to attach legs. - The two additional shelves gave me the place to which I can attach a keyboard tray. See Pic 4, 5, and 6. - Lastly, I attached the surge protector power strip (also ordered from Amazon.com https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01K73M8VS/), with four 2.4Amp USB charger ports. This will take care of all the charging needs for the PCs and mobile devices. See Pic 7 and 8. 3. The final result is in Pic 9 and 10. I am happy how it turned out. Worked out that whole life, lemon, lemonade saying. I would recommend the desk - it is beautiful, light in weight and looks amazing. As a simple writing desk, this is perfect. ... show more

It excels in all areas. First off, it's gorgeous. The color is rich, and the pattern looks natural. It really does look like a slab of wood, kudos. l assembled it in a few minutes, using only a cheap ratcheting screwdriver set I had. 4 pieces, 12 screws total. No instructions needed 6/5. It's very sturdy, no wiggles, wobbles, creaks, or squeaks. The pre installed 'panel' in the back keeps all my cords neat and tidy. I like that the front part if the legs angle back. It gives me more room to swivel around in my chair,v with reckless abandon, without banging my knees. This isn't a fancy desk loaded with gimmicks. It's simple, clean, beautiful, and does all these things exceptionally. If you're already looking at this desk, b and see this review, your already interested in this style. Pull the trigger, and put this in your cart, you won't be disappointed (unless you're short. In which case I suggest get a stool to put your feet on). My only complaint, is it's a bit tall. That doesn't detract from the score, as it's my fault for not paying attention to that. I measured the width and depth for the area I wanted it in, but not the height. This desk is quiet nice for the price. The top is sturdy, strong, and looks like an expensive piece of wood. The bottom was slightly uneven (think like when you go to a restaurant and the table bobbles a bit). The table comes with extra parts one of which is extra stickies to put on the bottom of the desk so it does not scratch your floor (I have wooden floors so this was great). I would recommend purchasing this table if you want something that is useable and looks great for the price. ... show more

Exactly what I wanted. I didn't want a big, heavy, permanent fixture to lug up a steep stairwell, never to come down again. This desk is lightweight, yet sturdy, has the industrial look that I like with the faux wood top and metal legs. The size is perfect (48'), and I'm thrilled.

I had been eyeing a new desk for a while and accidentally bought this one with one click ordering when my phone was in my pocket. I didn't realize I had bought it until it showed up at my door and it was too expensive to ship back so I decided to keep it. The desk looks very nice it has a neat industrial vibe with the faux wood top and metal legs. I really like it and its solid enough for me to game on. The wood look is definitely a paper wrap and you can really tell on one of the corners where the wrap pealed a tiny bit. That was an easy fix with a pocket knife and some stain. The leg design causes the desk to rock a bit when pushed but not enough where something would tip. My main gripe with the desk is the silver cable cutout. Although nicely done it distracts form the look and it makes my monitor look off center but that's because my pc is also on it. Overall, for the price its a really nice desk that I would actually buy on purpose next time. ... show more

Came very well packaged. Opened and put together in 10-15 minutes top. Would suggest 2 person job as I tried to balance the legs to screw onto top and it was a wobbly dance with one person. Enter husband to help with the 2nd leg. Plus you need another person to help you "flip" desk right side up. Love the wood tone top. Has a metal flap with black bristles to put cords through and to try to hide them. My husband is using this for his home office. I chose the 47" because that is the size to fit in my space. He feels it is the right size for him on this notebook. We have a desk lamp, and a few other things on the desk and he has plenty of room to work. ... show more
