Get the ball and then get it drilled by someone who will take the time to study your style, delivery and axis. I first tried as a demo ball, testing several other, much more expensive balls from Brunswick, Radical, Storm and Hammer. I could not keep the Nasty Rumor out of the pocket and it performed as well as the top enders. A great value and performer for the price. Local pro shop wanted $235, plus $60 for drilling. This deal on amazon is the best I could find and the ball was shipped promptly and arrived 4 days ahead of schedule. Is has pushed my average above the 200 threshold. So I am about a 210 average lefthander that throws the ball about 17.5 to 18 mph. Now about the ball I have only bowled three games with the ball 215, 247, and 268. I can’t say already this ball hits like a truck. The ball is very forgiving if you miss outside it will come back and if you miss middle it holds most of the time. This is my first DV8 but not my last. For a ball under 100.00 dollars you can’t go wrong. I am excited to see how this ball holds up over the rest of the season. This is a must buy After three weeks of use my series is 636, 696 and a high series of 739 and that 739 was 29 out of 36 strikes couldn’t pick up spares but not this balls fault. ... show more

I received my ball on Wednesday and by Friday night I was in the bowling alley near my house trying my new DV8 freak show solid out. I'm usually around 180s to 190s bowling with my original ball and I bowled with my DV8 freak show ball and I bowled a 233 for the first time ever using it. It has great control and is very aggressive on the lanes. I actually love this ball and it has now became my first ball that I throw now. Hits pins very hard. So if your looking to try this ball out I def say give it a go.... You won't be disappointed trust me!!!!! ... show more

I bought this ball which came in way early, and had it drilled last night. Bowled my first game with it, and I bowled a 243. I throw about 15.57 mph but I have had to slow it down to 15.05 due to the way I had the ball drilled. FANTASTIC pin carry and the hard bite on the back end is surely something to see. I usually play the ten board, but I played closer to the 7 or 8 board last night and man did the ball work for me. I HIGHLY recommend this ball if you are needing a ball for medium to high oil. I used to bowl without my thumb for many years but that style was hard on my bowling ball. After my old strike ball started to crack at the bridge I picked up this ball to be it’s replacement, but had it drilled fingertip style so I could learn. I have 8 games in with it so far and I can say it feels good, is consistent, and hooks late, but hooks HARD. ... show more

Brunswick makes DV8 and Radical balls, which is basically all I throw. This is my first DV8 ball however, and it hits just as hard as the Radical and Brunswicks I've had. I also have a Radical with somewhere around 450 games on it and it still hits like it did the first game out of the box. These balls are amazing, and they last 3 times as long as the holy Storm/Roto balls. ... show more

The turmoil is a oil house shot killer! It hooks in the pocket and gets excellent pin reaction when you add rev's on your ball. Definitely a good ball to have in your arsenal!
