Bought these as a backup only to find out they're too short for 24" bass drums. My original ones are deadblow from trick percussion, much better than these DWs.

I am using this on my Roland KD-10 bass drum. It is replacing a plastic beater that came with my Pearl pedal. The adjustable added weight was exactly what I needed to add some 'bite'. I ended up using 2 weights East and West as opposed to North and South and after trying the plastic beater, (3 types are included), I found I preferred the flat felt one. You *have* to use a bass drum pad/patch if you use a felt beater on a mesh head or you'll soon rip the head. I bought a Remo patch and it sticks and protects well on the KD-10. Excellent product as usual from dw, however as with dw, everything is sold separately & expensively- no beater lock included, and damn hard to find one anywhere without paying $5-10 + another $10 shipping. Up to you to continue using a brand with proprietary everything- so that eventually, if you can’t afford to maintain the equipment you start putting together things from hardware store hardware ... show more

these pedals are super versatile. Changing the weights are night and day, love it. The beater interchangeable beater heads are great and they look cool. Being able to dial in the preferred weight means i can carry less stuff. Definitely worth the premium

I bought a pair of these to use with my Trick Pro 1V double pedals. They're matching very well. Actually I'd prefer the feel of these on Trick pedals to the original beaters, lol! Perhaps until I find the sweet spot of the Trick pedals that a little more tricky than DW pedals I've used to for over 20 years. ... show more

As a player who doesn’t care for the plastic bass drum beaters for drum set, the hard felt beaters are always my first choice. I chose this beater because it’s depth is a bit shallower than most beaters of its type. I was looking for something which would produce a higher timbre when struck against the head for recording purposes, as opposed to the depth produced by most hard felt beater sizes.
