Bought this for landing in grass so the drones props did not strike the grass. The pins that come with it are needed to stop the wind from getting underneath and blowing the pad away because it is very light. Have not tried it on asphalt. The night reflector stickers only stick to the painted ring area and pop off everywhere else. The drone I have is the dji air 3. The RTH feature while excellent allows the drone to drift a bit from the takeoff point making the auto land feature iffy at keeping it on the pad. A larger diameter may be needed. Trying it on a large piece of cardboard with circles drawn at the diameters your looking at may help you decide. Mine came with a case that it folds into making it small about the size of a dinner plate . This makes it easy to pack and carry to the field. The little drones don’t do well landing in grass or cement, the propellers get caught in grass blades and bind up. So this landing pad is a great solution and comes with stakes for windy days

I bought two beginner drones to play with. The issue was that they don't recommend to begin them near a structure. My backyard is all grass and the drone wings kept getting stuck on the grass. This landing pad helped fix the issue. It is also very easy to fold and put back in the bag.
