I originally tried this dress on at Nordstrom, but saw the price was almost 50% less on Amazon (!!!!!!!) so I decided to order it on here instead! It truly is a beautiful dress - super classic style that can be worn to almost any type of event! The quality of the material is great, and it has a tinyyyy bit of stretch to it - not too much that it will stretch out, but just enough to make it super comfortable. In regard to sizing... I am curvy on my lower half, small on the top - 150lbs, 5'5", 34C - the small was SUPER snug, and the medium was a bit too loose. Which is strange, because in-store, the small fit perfect and the medium was huge! I ended up keeping the medium though, and it was fine - not too big that it was noticeable, but it definitely didn't hold the 'girls' in place like the small I tried on in-store did. Overall, really happy with this purchase! Dress the Population makes some beautiful dresses, and they're always high quality. You won't regret this purchase - ESPECIALLY at this price!

The material is heavy and is good for any season, except perhaps the hottest part of summer. Super flattering cut, especially for hourglass figures; perfect length hits right at knee. Needs a little ironing / steaming, but not much at all. Got size S and fits ideally, I’m 5’8” and 35-29-40. This is the perfect classic dress. Great find!

This dress is well-made with durable material. The dress is lined and has a nice flow (great for dancing). The skirt of the dress moves elegantly. The dress defined my waist and is a great dress for pear-shaped figures. The side pockets area great selling point. I am 5'3" and weight 190lb with a 38DD/40D bust. I usually wear a XL however this XL was TOO small in the bust area. I could not zip the dress pass my bust. I cannot exchange for a larger size since the dress is no longer on sale. I am debating if I want to spend money altering the dress or return it. It is a wonderful dress if you are not busty.

Purchased in the navy blue for an outdoor fall wedding - had a lot of trouble finding something appropriate age wise (everything in stores was either made a for a boho 20 year old or it was too matronly). This dress looked mature, but not matronly - still a bit nervous until it arrived. For reference, I’m 5’11” ish, 140 lbs, 32B bust size. I ordered an XS in this dress, and it’s fitted, but not terribly so. I could move and breathe with ease. The length hit me right above my knees, and the quality fabric is slightly heavy, falls nicely and looks good. The bust is lower cut than I anticipated, but I’m not too b00by so I think it works - a shawl will help if I feel too exposed. There is a lot of fabric on bottom and if you slouch, it can look like you have a large belly, but standing up straight helps. I did have to iron as it was wrinkled upon arrival. All in all, I’m happy - quality dress, well made, looks good, the boyfriend approves, too.

This is a really pretty dress. The v neck is cut a bit lower than I expected. The fabric thick and nice but it doesn’t flow well. It fits well but I returned it because of the stiffness of the fabric.
