My son is at the growth spurt stage in life. Consequently, I am at an impasse where I grapple with buying name brand shoes that get worn a handful of times before he grows out of them, or searching for "off brand" shoes that simply do the job. I happen to own several Dream pair boots, and I love them. Even though they are inexpensive, they hold up, they are fashionable, and they are affordable. I took a gamble and bought a pair of these sneakers on sale for 14.99. Wow! When they arrived, both my son and I were impressed. These are GREAT shoes. They are HEAVY and made very well. The suede accents add a touch of class, and my son remarked that he couldn't even tell they were off brand. My boy wears a 9 currently, and they were spot on with size. There was a little bit of wiggle room to grow. The true test of comfort, however, came the next day. My boy wore this to the Ghost concert where he stood for three and a half hours and did plenty of walking in the city. He is extremely active, so these babies were put through the wringer. There was no break in period for these shoes. At the end of the night, my son told me he felt like he had been walking on pillows the whole time. Not only that, his feet were comfortable, rested, relaxed, and free of blisters. The sneakers held up wonderful and wiped clean with a simple washcloth. As someone who has bought Vans, Nike, Adidas, Puma, and Converse for her boy, only to have him sprout out of them like the Hulk, I can see what a waste of money that was. Moms... really consider these. My picky and fashion-conscious kiddo who won't leave with a hair out of place even asked for a second pair. These are a PERFECT solution for that in-between hormonal stage of rapid growth and even beyond. They're comfortable, durable, sleek, easy to clean, supportive, and affordable. These are great! I am 69 years old with a passion for clean white sneakers. If I can't get them clean, they become my gardening shoes. I have been buying Walmart's white sneakers for about $17. I was ordering 10 wide and was reluctant to order these. To my surprise, they are sufficiently wide for my feet. They are well made, attractive, and reasonably priced for an old guy on a budget. Get them. You won't be disappointed!
