This toddler bed is everything that it claims to be. Shipped on time and delivered to our door for assembly, it was easy enough to put together (my wife and I did fine with the included tools/pieces/parts) and, of course, it accompanies a crib mattress perfectly (recommend a Serta for functionality and low-cost here - see separate review). The Espresso color matches the rest of the Espresso colore furniture we have ever purchased just fine. From a workmanship and quality perspective, it seems quite sturdy (looks fine, works fine) but it also seems like (as the product claims) I wouldn't want to press the weight limit recommoendations that come along with it. The upper recommended weight limit is 50 pounds so I don't know how long we'll be able to use it knowing that our 2.5 year old is 35-pounds-plus already. Anyone purchasing this product will likely want to keep their toddler from using it as a trampoline or, in general, from jumping on it. We do not allow our children to climb on or jump on furniture. Our daughter is a real "climber" but the jungle-gym is at the park down the street. Additionally, you will likely want to keep the adults in the house from putting thier full-weight on it (again, the product isn't recommended for nor intended to hold/carry/withstand that kind of weight). I am expecting that, with regular use and a little care, we'll be able to have the advantage of this piece of furniture as our toddler grows to weights even surpassing the recommended limit. It really does seem sturdy and it does seem like it will perform well if used responsibly. We have been using the bed for two months (almost three) and our toddler has fallen out of the bed a good handfull of times but this is because she sleeps "all over the place" and not because of any manufacturing deficiencies. The side rails really do help as the toddler transitions to a "real bed" from a partially enclosed convertible crib with toddler-rail. By the way, in our experience, moving baby/todler from crib to converted crib with todler-rail at 23 months-old and THEN over to the toddler bed at 27 months-old really worked well (we'll follow a similar progression with our 2nd child). Good product, nice price, fits our needs perfectly. From the price perspective, and given all its other qualities, this purchase is easily and entirely recommendable. ... show more

My son loves his new bed. All wood with screws and few other parts. Comes a I t h manuel booklet. Easier for 2 people to build. Very affordable and came on time with no damage. The mattress is separate buy. Best to buy both pieces same day for Easier assembly. Bed has 2 levels for hight. Simple to move bed arpund room, when needed. i built it alone which is probably why i got stressed out faster. took ma about an hour, read the instructions wrong a couple times and hand to remove screws but that was user error. at one point the middle slats flew out and i started sobbing into my knees because one of the small wooden dowels broke. but it’s okay. everything’s okay. right? anyways. the “self driving screws” part was a pain so i didn’t even screw them in but i don’t even think you need them. but finally when it was all together i was happy, it’s sturdy and can support my weight (im 5’1 and 117lbs). my 2yr old daughter is very excited for her new bed so she gives it a 5 star. i give it 4 stars just cuz it made me cry ... show more

This was a great find on Amazon as we couldn’t find anything local that was worth the $ asked. It’s a kids bed, it’s not built like a tank and it’s not weak either. This bed looks very nice - it is very cute and looks much more expensive than it is. It is also easy to put togehter. The crib mattress fits great. The bed is not uber-sturdy, and therefore we do not lie on this bed with our son (we'd be too heavy) - but for this very low price this piece of furniture is GREAT! My son will only be in this bed for 9 months max before we go to a full/queen, so we did not feel spending a lot was worth it. If getting into a toddler bed w/your child is important to you, you should just skip the toddler bed and get a bigger bed w/rails. Otherwise get this one, it's great! You should not spend more than this on such a short term item!!! ... show more

It is most adorable bed! Definitely need two people to put it together, unfortunately cannot hold the weight of an adult I wanted to cuddle up with my toddler but it will definitely snap in half. She loves it though well worth it
