This toddler bed fits great at the foot of my king size bed. My 4 yr old granddaughter still wants to sleep with us in our bed, so I am going to have her sleep in the toddler bed so she can begin the transitioning phase of sleeping by herself to eventually sleeping in her own bedroom for sleepovers. It took my husband a while to put together, he said it was a pain the rear! I didn't want to spend a lot of money on this bed since I hope she only sleeps in it for a short time. When we moved into our new house I was having a hard time finding the right bed for our 3 year old. I literally bought and returned two other beds before finding this one. I was a little nervous, because the second bed I got the wood was super cheap and I didn’t want that happening again. BUT the wood was a lot better and they had so many color options to choose from. This bed is nice. The “espresso” finish could better be called “plain brown”. The rails are only half length, so much of the assembly is putting the two sides together to create a rail. I’m worried the slats might pop out if our daughter jumps on the bed.
