Make no mistake. These shoes looked and felt great to me....in my hands. Why just my hands, you wonder? Well, because I couldn't even get them halfway on. I unlaced the laces so the shoe would spread out as wide as possible. It made no difference. The shoe would not go onto my foot due to the combination of narrow width and my somewhat wide feet. I typically wear a size 10.5 US but ordered the size 11 US thinking that the extra room might do me good. Nope! Wasn't even close to going on. My next thought was, "Maybe they sent the wrong size." So I double-checked. Size 11 was cleared printed on the inside wall of the shoe as well as a number 11 on the bottom. As far as the construction of the shoe, everything looked and felt great. There is padding in the non-removable insert. The stitching looked fine and there was flex but not too much. The bottom of the shoe is made of a firm rubber and should help prevent slipping while wearing. Over all, these are a nice low cost dress shoe. But if your feet are wide, don't think that moving up a half size will help. It won't. Or at least it didn't for me. If your feet are narrow, you shouldn't have a problem and will most likely be happy with your purchase.

These arrived quite fast when I first ordered them, but I'm just now getting around to the review. These are nice looking dress shoes with a great build quality. The downside is that these shoes aren't the best for wider feet. I hope they can offer these in wide variations soon. Those with smaller feet, absolutely consider these for dress shoes.

I recently got a new job and I had to start upgrading my wardrobe. No longer wearing a uniform, I had to build a collection of business casual and professional outfits. Brown dress shoes are a necessary inclusion. In addition to the shirts, pants, jackets, and belts, it's a lot all at once. Ideally, I would build my collection over time, but with only 1 pair of black oxfords, I had to get another pair of shoes. Enter the brown oxfords by Drake & Wolf. These are simple, straightforward, basic oxford dress shoes. They work perfectly for a normal day at the office. I'm not looking to impress anyone with these, and they definitely won't, but they look a lot better than wearing any form of sneakers. The fit is as expected, tight and good with thin socks but are too tight if you wear regular cotton socks. Not a ton of support, a little hard on the bottom, so if you're walking a lot you'll likely want to invest in some more expensive and comfier shoes. The soles look good and I definitely don't slip or slide in these shoes. I expect these should last for a bit, hopefully long enough until I should upgrade again.
