  • Where have these been all my adult life?
Size: 7.5 Wide Color: Black Leather
I've always heard the name Dr. Scholl's and have used its foot care products. But this was the first time buying a pair of Dr. Scholl's shoes. This is a great work shoe. Very comfortable but a little loose on heel (slips a bit while walking) but what a huge improvement over Soft Walk brand. The interesting thing is, I'm not used to wearing a shoe with such excellent arch support. I didn't know what I was missing. Today when I took them off at the end of day while standing on a wood floor, my feet felt funny, like they instantly missed the arch support. I think this is what they've been needing for years. ... show more

  • the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever worn
Size: 10 Wide Color: Black Leather
These shoes were terrible!! I expected a comfortable shoe, but they were excruciatingly painful. These shoes have absolutely no cushioning built into the shoe. The insoles were poorly constructed; they were flat and looked "unfinished" with a Dr. Scholl's insert stuffed on top. When you take out the insert, you are left with a rock-hard surface with no arch support. The outsoles were very hard, and non-giving--super hard on my feet. They seem very sturdy, but after two days of standing in them for work, I'm giving up on them. A co-worker asked me if I had injured my feet because of how I was limping in them. They were so painful that I couldn't walk with a normal stride. Because of the insert, they fit very tightly and left barely any wiggle room for my toes. They should be ashamed of themselves for making this shoe. If I was sitting in a chair all day, they would probably be fine, but I am standing on my feet the entire shift. I regret buying them on-line; I will never buy shoes again without trying them on first. I wish I could return them, but I already threw away the packaging, and now I'm stuck with them. ... show more

  • Amazing tread on the bottom!!!
Size: 9.5 Wide Color: Black Leather
I chose “fits as expected” when reviewing. I can’t say it enough give the shoes a couple days as you’re wearing them in ;) it takes wearing them in to get the true “toe box”, “width”, “arch support”, true fit. These shoes have elastic on the sides to help with the breaking in process. I’ll show you in the photos. Most of the other reviews on these shoes in particular were “runs small”. Here’s why...I’m a 9 1/2, on my feet usually 8-12 hours a day. When I read the reviews “smaller than expected” (58% at the time) “runs small” or “too tight”, “order up one size”, I decided to go with a 9 1/2 WIDE width. First off I would like to say , I have wore many of these types of shoes, 25+ years in the medical field, and yes they usually do run small. They usually run “smaller than expected”, or “Tight through the toes“, or “short on the heels”. My experience with these 9 1/2 Dr. Scholl’s wide, when I first put them on I thought wow these feel really good, super nice cushioning on the inside, not too high on the heel cord (tendinitis). These types of shoes, usually run narrow through the front, and tight through the top of the foot, which usually causes rubbing on the inside of the shoe, towards the big toe and the small toe, you know this if you’ve ever wore these type of shoes, but I did not experience this with these Dr. Scholl’s. First, I thought it was because they were a “wide“, but it was not. You have to put them on and break them in around the house for a day or two. I say all this to say I should’ve went with a solid 9 1/2 fits as expected, and not have got the “wide” based on reviews. People who are true half sizes, they already know what I’m talking about, I’m not a size 9 and I’m not a size 10. When you are a 9 1/2 some shoes you will be able to wear either in a nine wide or a ten depending on how they are made, but not usually. After two days in the shoes I was going to send them back because I felt like they were too big, too wide (my foot was slipping in them as I wore them in) , and get the true 9 1/2. I’ve chose to keep them with winter coming because I will be wearing thicker, “smart wool” socks with them or thicker compression socks with them, and will probably have them worn out by spring of the year :) pics attached! Amazing tread on the bottom of these shoes!!! They will pick stuff up off the carpet haha. I’m up and down a metal ramp all day, absolutely no sliding, the best tread I’ve ever experienced!! But after this review, I should definitely receive a true size 9 1/2 for free for spring of the year lol joking! #Proud#essential.health.care.worker.25+yrs. #strong💪🏻 Update: I’m 6 weeks in wearing these shoes everyday 8-12 hours, 5-6 days a week. The shoes are starting to smell (I wear compression socks with them every day). The insoles are beginning to wear a little bit, on the side of the heels, but mostly towards the ball of the feet, from previous review they are just a little big. One shoe does feel more stretched out than the other. The tread is still absolutely amazing! Will post another a pic. ... show more

  • Fit is ok, but difficult to put on my feet.
Size: 8 Color: Black Leather
I got the black shoe in my reg. size, an 8. It appears to be made very well, with quality materials. The fit is good once they're on my feet, but fairly snug. They'd probably be ok after a break-in period. The problem is that they hurt my feet just to get them on. The opening is pretty small & there's no give in the material to get my feet into them. That might also improve after a break-in period, but I'm not willing to torture my feet in the interim. I'm sorry to have to send them back. They really are nice looking shoes. ... show more

  • Consider before purchasing
Size: 9 Color: Black Leather
Item returned. Was definitely disappointed. Tried them out for a whole week and just wasn’t happy. Have owned many Dr. Scholl’s products and this is the only one that didn’t work for me. The shoes themselves are not uncomfortable..they were decently wearable at first but the problem is after an entire 9 hour work shift. And no, it’s not normal for me to be painful because of being on my feet all day. I’m used to it. For them being “work shoes”, this is the first time they actually caused more pain just by wearing them. I don’t necessarily think that breaking them will solve it because I buy new shoes all the time and I’ve never had such horrible leg and foot cramping by the end of the day from new shoes. My suspicion is that the soles are rock hard and even with the insole they are just rough on your legs and feet. Maybe you can get used to them overtime, but I don’t have the time to be in horrible pain every night waiting. ... show more

  • Great value!
Size: 7.5 Color: Black Leather
Great fit. Excellent quality for price. Needed arch support for work, these are comfortable and durable! Also, slip resistant qualities are superb. I work in a shop with oil spills, NEVER have a slip issue!

  • After 8 good pairs these ones suck
Size: 9.5 Color: Black Leather
This is the 9th pair of these shoes I’ve bought off Amazon. Generally I like them and they are great work shoes. I know how they fit on my feet (I’ve had 8 other pairs) one of them is too small. The other one has the nail that attached the bottom to the sole sticking out by the toe, you can’t feel it while wearing them, but it keeps ripping holes in my sock. Super disappointed with this pair. Probably won’t buy a 10th pair. Time to find some new work shoes. ... show more
