Bought these for my husband for the last 5 years as they are the most comfortable for him being on his feet all day in an industrial environment. Wide width and true to size fit along with comfortable insoles make them the only shoe he wears now.

For years I have been buying another work show from Amazon. The quality of that shoe (DEER STAG) decreased with each and every order, as the price climbed higher and higher. The (DEER STAGS) lasted only 3 months before disintegrating. I decided to pursue other options. I am on my feet at work 10-12 hours a day 5-6 days a week. I routinely put 15-20 miles on my legs/feet a day including tons of stair steps. I decided , after reading countless reviews, to try the Dr Scholl shoes. I am glad that I did! They are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn. I bought the shoes on 10/15/2021. After three hard months of work, they still look like new. The tread is still in great shape. All the stitching is still perfect, and the interior cushioned sole is still in pristine shape and working order. I highly recommend these shoes especially if you are a front of the house restaurant employee, or any one who has to stand and move on there feet for long periods of time.     • Poor Quality, Durability, and Bad Sizing

I purchased these after my local stores stopped carrying a less expensive Dr. Scholl's work shoe. I figured a more expensive upgrade of the same basic form factor shoe with the same company would suit me fine but I was extremely disappointed: 1. The shoes are way too large for the size listed. I've never had a shoe in my size be this loose. It's way beyond the variation normally encountered between brands/models. I had to wear two pairs of socks and use an aftermarket heel insert to make them at all wearable. 2. The sole started deteriorating and peeling off after less than a week of light wear. It's a thin non-slip layer that is glued on. I had to use shoe glue to reattach it but it didn't last long and I shouldn't have to do repairs on a pair of shoes after owning them for less than a week. 3. The upper isn't durable. While walking up stairs I lightly stubbed the toe and later discovered gouges that showed the gray base below. The description says 100% leather but if that's the case it's a very thin layer. The less expensive model of Dr. Scholl's work shoes I used to get were much more durable. I would expect scuffs with normal wear but not chunks taken out. It's really too bad, this would have been a great pair of shoes and served my purposes very well if only the quality, durability and sizing were decent. I'll have to find a better alternative and although I've had good experiences with other Dr. Scholl's shoes in the past, this particular model, Winder II, really let me down. ... show more

    • Great shoe with one big flaw

Love these shoes. The thick sole is great. Helps on those rainy days. Comfortable. Easy slip on. Look great. Now for the big flaw. The rubber sole at the heel is vulnerable to peeling away from the foam support. The rubber heel is a hard edge that if you find yourself resting with the edge of the rubber heel on the ground, you can cause it to separate if you drag your feet (even lightly) backwards. It too bad that when they designed this, they didn't consider that and have the rubber heel round upwards and go up the back of the heel. This would remove that flat, hard edge that can separate. That is the only thing that keeps me from giving these shoes 5 stars. ... show more

Great quality shoe but A little larger than the size stated 8.5 but feel/fit like 9.0 size ( if you wear size 9.0 you should buy size 8.5). I used size 8.5 but this shoe fit a little loose for size 8.5 I should have bought size 8.0 A little pricy for shoe with no steel toe. Leather and Bottom Sole was Good Quality.
