Usually a work shoe needs some breaking in but these shoes felt good from the second I put them on. However, I am only 6 months in and the soles are already worn through, putting uncomfortable pressure on different parts of my foot. Everything about this shoe is great except for one extremely annoying feature: the tongue is WAY TOO SHORT!!! It's nearly impossible to grip it while you put the shoe on, so it slips from your grip and gets mushed down inside the shoe when your foot goes in. Also, a shoehorn is absolutely necessary to avoid the same problem with the heel. However, after much effort and many re-starts, when you finally do get both feet in, without any collapsed heels or tongues, the shoe is quite comfortable.
