The fit was perfect to her size (6 in womens), the heels and soles have that classic doc durability, and while it was stiff at first, as all docs are, they didn’t take long to break in. One thing to note is how it may be slightly difficult to strap in the shoes due to how small the hooks are, but simultaneously, I appreciate that there’s ACTUALLY hooks instead of velcro. LITERALLY the best pair of shoes I’ve bought in a long time! Definitely size down. I’m usually a size 9, but bought a size 8 based on the reviews. I’m glad I did - they fit PERFECTLY! I personally don’t think that they’re heavy, and that could be because I’ve worn heavier pairs of Docs before. They are super comfy and can be worn with anything in my opinion. Greta quality. I read every review trying to figure out my size. I am normally an 8 everywhere else in US sizes. I have never ordered Dr. Martens in UK sizes before. I ended up measuring my foot and going by the size chart, which said I was comfortably a 6. Ordered the 6 and my toes were smack up against the end of the shoe. I guess you could say they technically fit. But they were not comfortable. Then ordered a 7 and they fit great! I would say if your normal size is a half size, go down one and a half sizes. If your normal size is a whole size, just go down one size unless you like your shoes to fit like they were molded to your feet. Aside from the sizing they are heavy but the weight doesn't bother me because the quality is outstanding. And oh my are they cute! I wear a lot of jumpsuits and these really complete the look. I've always wanted a pair of Doc Martens and these didn't disappoint. They're definitely cut true to size so I highly recommend following the feet measuring guide they have to choose yours. Normally I'm a 9.5 / 10 US which translated to a size 8 in these (half size scale down). The shoes are sturdy and the perfect blend of chunky & classy. They remind me of a pair of Mary janes I had as a kid lol The shoes are leather so they need time to break in. The heel loop helps with getting them on. The only downside I found was the complicated buckles. They're leather so they aren't as flexible as you'd need them to be too get them at the right tightness right away. Can be worn with or without socks which is nice. And the heels and soles are SOLID so expect them to be heavy. These aren't flimsy shoes and I'm definitely getting another pair from the famous brand 😁 ... show more

I'm usually 9, 9 1/2 and only recently had to purchase a size 10 in sneakers. It was a tough call but I went with the size 9 - the toe box was way too big and I could fit my finger easily behind my heel. I tightened the straps but it just caused friction. I used thicker socks, and it definitely improved, but I could still tell it wasn't an appropriate fit. Rereading the reviews, I saw someone suggested ordering a size and a half down if you're a half size, so I've placed an order for a size 8 and will update once they arrive. Otherwise, the shoes are super cute and well-made. Update: Kept the size 8! More or less a perfect fit 🙌 yay! Awesome shoe, still pretty stiff but not painful like other doc marten boots. Fits large, go a half size down. Doesn’t slip, a little tight on width but holds up well. Loss of stars because shoe was sent worn- scuffs scratches and dusty. Not happy paying 90$ for worn shoes when I could have bought brand new for the same price. ... show more

Absolutely love these!! I bought them on impulse with a 44% off final sale which was scary but they fit perfectly (SIZE DOWN!!!). They feel like a really good quality shoe, but so far that’s what I expected as my second pair of Dr. Martens. Please be aware when choosing a size that you should size down a size and a half. I’m usually an 8.5 and size up to a 9 in running shoes, I bought a size 7 and it’s a perfect fit. I think for $95 this is a steal, I probably wouldn’t have purchased it for full price but that’s my own preference on shoe budgeting. ... show more
