These shoes are soooo comfortable and cute. Fresh out of the box I wore them all day on vacation and no pains or discomfort. The only thing is this material of shoe laces tends to slip undone overtime so you may need to re do the tie every once in a while. I had to get a better pair of shoes for work. I was wearing steel toed shoes from my previous job because they were the most comfortable. I received the Dr Martens and they were equally heavy as the steel toed. They are comfortable and of good quality. They fit a little loose. I have to tie them tight. Style is great. My back and hips do feel a lot better now. Not sure there slip resistant because I have slid around at work with them. No falls though. Sufficient toe box room. True to size. ... show more

Have you ridden a horse in a heavy, comfortable western saddle? That's what these shoes are like on your feet. Mine are covered in mud, rain and sunshine, with an interior smooth high quality leather that fits my like tool dip. Heads up! The unisex sizing is weird. (A 39, is not a women's 8.5)

Mature woman who still likes this style of shoe. My first purchase of Dr. Martens so sizing was an issue. My default size 7 med. is too long and wide so I returned. Won't be re-ordering because these shoes are just too much shoe for me. Disappointed because they do appeal to me.
