I’ve had these boots for a few weeks now. I only got them because they were on sale for $67 and I figured why not. At this point they might be the best boot I have. The sole is thicker than normal but it still looks good and it’s extra cushioned. With the leather being intentionally rough you can make them look however you want. I’ve used neutral cream polish on them to smooth out the texture. I’m thinking about using a wax polish to shine them. Also with the leather being made to look worn it’s very soft. The leather is perfectly pliable and there was no break-in discomfort. I had basically given up on doc martens years ago after I had a pair whose soles cracked completely in half across the middle after a month, not to mention they run about $200 now and are definitely not worth that. This model is worth more than the standard 1460 built these days. I still wouldn’t pay over $100 but I was happy with this find ... show more

Initial reaction for just putting them on is good. The leather feels good, sizing is perfect, and so fa4 comfortable. They need to be broken in but once they are I'll update UPDATE: These are super comfortable to wear hiking. I wore 2 pairs of socks and just hiked for about 5 hours and they're almost completely broken in. I also use mink oil to Soften the leather up. They are a little bit heavy so it was an adjustment from the boots I'm used to but overall I'm very happy ... show more

i own one other pair of doc martens that are over 4 years old, so I thought a new pair would be great and have always wanted brown ones! these are beautiful. also much easier to break in and be comfortable than my other pair I got before . love the color, the only thing to watch out for is that this leather is very soft, so they will get scratched and scuffed up regardless, but it adds to the look. 💓 ... show more

I thought these might be perfect for me in women's size 9 because my 1460's fit great. But these are odd, they folded too easily on top of my toes and it hurt. Maybe a size down would be better?

I wore Doc Martin's in the 90s when they were popular. Mine lasted almost 8 years! My son works in construction and he asked for these for his early Christmas gift. They have been working well for him. You can't go wrong with Doc Martin's high quality long lasting shoes.
