  • One of the most comfortable boots I've ever owned.
Size: 9 Color: Chestnut Brown Waxed Full Grain Leather
I've been wearing Docs since they were all made in England and Nirvana was a new band... Yes, the quality of Dr Martens has gotten... varied. Some products have been poorly constructed, some used inferior materials; but some products are actually about the same quality as before they restructured the company and moved all of the production overseas. All that being said, these are a great casual boot. The leather is probably 0.5-1.0mm thinner than vintage boots but that's still thicker than some of the offerings out there. The waxed finish on the leather is doing some awesome things to the creasing and marring. As soon as you put these on... you will really that you are TRYING to put them on. They are stiff out of the box. An their shape and construction don't lend themselves to getting your foot in. It's a narrow ankle on them but the elastic portion of the shaft is incredibly durable. You can wrench the boot open and slip your foot in. You will immediately notice that the waxed finish gives this a pull-up look on the leather. These brown ones get some gorgeous streaks of orange from underneath the grain. My picture doesn't do it justice. The cut and style is the same as it has been since the 90s or 00s, whenever the Chelsea was first introduced. They look amazing with dark or light jeans and with casual slacks that aren't khaki in color (personal preference). Wearing these around the house and out in town gets them broken in in a matter of days. As such, they are much easier to put on and take off than when you get them. I would suggest using DM's cleaning solutions and creams for these. The waxed leather behaves differently than a regular smooth grain 1460. These have become my go-to "shoe by the door" and I have often found myself wearing them all day. The AirWear Bouncing Sole design has really maintained its quality. ... show more

  • Great Boot - See Comment
Size: 12-12.5 Color: Gaucho Crazy Horse
Overall-- Great Boot. This will be a detailed review, because I thought many other reviews were absolutely useless and unhelpful. I am a male, and had contacted the seller prior to ordering, because the title said "Women's Boot" (I understand this is a unisex boot) and I couldn't find healthy answers in the comments/questions sections. I ordered the size "12-12.5" in Gaucho Crazy Horse Brown. The seller informed me that this was indeed listed in MEN'S USA sizes, not women's sizes, so I purchased. Most of my shoe sizes are 12's, because a 12.5 almost doesn't exist. However, in many cases I wear 13 as well. The "12-12.5" listing is perfect, so order your baseline normal male size. The boot is roomy in the toe box, not tight fitting, which is how boots are supposed to fit. The Crazy Horse Leather is beautiful, although much darker than the pictures. I would easily classify this boot as a dark brown boot. For those unaware in the comments section, Crazy Horse Leather is a top of the line, full-grain oil/wax finished leather. This leather will easily scruff and scratch, and over time will develop a distressed look with a beautiful patina. If you don't want any scratches on your boots, don't get the crazy horse leather, unless you are fine buffing them out all the time. However, when they distress, a lighter copper color will emerge, creating an almost two-tone effect. This leather is exceptionally tough, and requires only minimal care with minimal wax. These boots also have a Good-Year Welt, creating an exceptionally durable, hard wearing boot. This welt is found on premium boots, eliminating the need for cheap gluing. This is my first pair of the "Chelsea" boot style, as I had previous only bought Lace-Ups, so the only thing I'm concerned about is the elastic on the sides, but time will tell (although my jeans always cover the elastic on sides anyways, I'm not a roll-up jean guy). For those saying the top of the boot is too narrow to get your foot in: you don't put these on like normal shoes. Angle your foot parallel as you enter, then twist the boot on straight. SUPER EASY. It takes two second to put these Chelsea's on rather than untying and tying lace-ups. As far as break-in, these are pretty much good to go out of the box. I'm getting a little stiffness on the very top of the uppers at my shin, but after a couple days of wear this will disappear. When wearing high socks it is barely noticeable now anyways. These are not dainty, thin & dressy boots. They are more for everyday wear, built wider and more rugged. I recommend. ... show more

  • Grip restaurant floors UPDATE they don't last long
Size: 9-9.5 Color: Gaucho Crazy Horse
I don't know why, but it seems like if you want a pair of slip resistant shoes/boots that grip the floor in a restaurant, they automatically have to be ugly. I don't know why they can't make the same good looking boot with a slip resistant sole. But finally, I've found a pair that looks pretty decent. It's not the best looking boot, but it's the best looking slip resistant boot that I've found. I'm happy with them *Update* After about 4 months of use, I started to notice that I was starting to lose my footing a little more than usual, while at work. And it progressively got worse over the following months. Point being that the tread on these just don't last that long. I got a solid four months of use out of them before I noticed a problem. After 6-7 months of use, it's time to replace them. Maybe that's by design or perhaps I got a bad pair. I don't know. But I do know that I hate having to replace a $140 pair of boots after only 7 months. I'm dropping my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars. ... show more

  • Quality Boots by Dr Martin
Size: 10-10.5 Color: Gaucho Crazy Horse
Out of the box one of the boots was a lot tighter than the other, then I noticed it had an additional insole inside. Possibly sold a return item but not that much of a problem. Other than that the boots are great.

  • Awesome boots!
Size: 10-10.5 Color: Gaucho Crazy Horse
I bought these boots for ease of wear, comfort, and a bit of style. It checks off all boxes, they are easy to slip on. I've worn them quite a bit, city walking, swap meets, fairs, even on a 18 hour flight. They look good in jeans and loose fitting pants (skinny clothes might look akward).

  • Dark brown
Size: 8-8.5 Color: Gaucho Crazy Horse
I am usually wear size 42 in European. I order 41 that fits well. Required break in period. The biggest concern is, I got dark brown instead of light brown. Amazon customer service is outstanding as usual and fixed my concerns.

  • Size and color
Size: 10-10.5 Color: Gaucho Crazy Horse
These feel exceptionally high quality in build. I have a fairly wide (though not enough for wide shoes) size 10.5. because these don't offer 10.5 I went with a 10. Almost didn't get them on the first time, at all. Over three days they have stretched (with conditioner) and are on the right side of good right now. The color was very much darker than the picture and the color came a little spotty, I will need to polish them ... show more
