  • Runs large and it’s a good thing
Size: 6 Women/5 Men Color: Black Greasy
Love the way it fits. I usually wear a size 6.5 and ordered a size 5. With a layer of Dr Scholls and Smartwool socks, feet are snug and comfy! Look forward to a few months/years after the newness wears off.

  • Beautiful boots! Just make sure you know what size to order!
Size: 6 Women/5 Men Color: Black Greasy
First things first. From my experience, everyone needs to start off by going down a half size to a full size. Dr. Martens are unique that way. For example. I am a size 7. I ordered the 6-6.5 B(M) US Women / 5-5.5 D(M) US Men. These shoes only offer 1 half size, the US 8.5, so I believe the range that they provided in my order (which I stated above) dictates the possibility of someone fitting the shoe if they fall within that range. With that said, your size will likely arrive in a whole size, UK 4, 5, 6, etc. A US women's 6-6.5 translates to a UK 4-4.5 A US men's 5-5.5 translates to a UK 4.5-5 ***Most places don't carry this size for men. Doesn't matter though because this is a unisex shoe, and every shoe for that matter ;) The women's UK 4 size (US 6) is perfect for someone with a size US 7 foot. If you are a true US 7.5, they will be snug. However, ****FUN FACT****, if you take the bottom sole out (which I did with my last pair) they will add almost a half size to your fit. The sole doesn't provide any kind of arch support anyways, but it wraps around the inner perimeter of the boot, making the inside smaller. You can always add a less bulky inner sole that provides support. This provided sole may make the boot slitely more comfortable, but the boot will end up breaking in regardless, and the breaking-in process will be awful REGARDLESS. :D Hope this helped. ... show more

  • A must have in every female closet!!
Size: 6 Women/5 Men Color: Black Greasy
I wear these shoes pretty much every cool day we have here in Washington. They're durable, high quality, and fashionable. It's somewhat annoying that the sole of the shoe tends to come out often when you take your foot out, but I will let that slide because I'm very fond of them. My boyfriend doesn't like them much though. I think his style isn't "hip" enough. ... show more

  • Runs Small
Size: 6 Women/5 Men Color: Black Greasy
They are docs so they already have a name. Quality materials. They seemed to run a little small that my last pair I got about 6-7 years ago but hopefully since they are leather, they will stretch out a bit as I wear them

  • Dr. Martens boots are classic
Size: 5 Women/4 Men Color: Black Greasy
Bought these for my daughter who absolutely loves them. They are just a little big for her small foot but not too big to wear comfortably. She also anticipates wearing them with thicker socks in the winter. She said that they are a little stiff but more comfortable than she thought they would be. She knows that they require some breaking in. She would highly recommend them. The pricing from this seller was on target with our budget. ... show more

  • Time changes the classics
I owned 2 pairs of Doc Marten boots in the early 90's because they were built to last and England backed the quality, but the boots are not built the way they used to be built which is why I returned this pair. I did some research and found that due to nearly going bankrupt in 2006, Doc Marten boot company had to expand. The factory in England still makes the same boot most of us are familiar with and they are available for a slightly higher but worthy price tag. The $170 boots with the Doc Marten brand here in the states are made in Viet Nam, the USA, Germany, Spain and a few other factories in Europe. The quality we look for with the "Made In England" stamp can not be found in these lesser boots. For fashion reasons the high Doc quality can be compromised but if a buyer is searching for a sustainable product that needs to last as a work boot/shoe then the buyer should not compromise for anything less than the real deal. I also found some more interesting and useful information in my interweb dig and Doc Marten is NOT the original many of us thought they were. Solovair has been in England since 1881 and Doc Marten is a spur from the Solovair family. Search Solovair and read up for yourself. The factory builds products ONLY in England with the same high quality leather found in my aforementioned 90's Doc Marten boots. It was a fun find and I am working with the folks in England to get a pair of Gripfast work boots with steel toe and leather toe cap and a pair of Solovair derby boots. There is an online US store but I have been referred to the England office for a custom order as I wear a size 16. Prices range from $219 to $259 but I am a firm believer that one should get what one pays for. Buy once, cry once. I hope this has helped. I have always wanted black leather lace up boots, and have always liked Doctor Martens look, Well!!! I was looking at these and realized there was an offer of 35$ off, well 34.95$!!! So I jumped on it!! Paid 104$ for them and absolutely love them!! I plan on getting some of the leather protector from Dr. Martens, will help soften them up and break them in a little more, they really don’t need much breaking in, but I like mine more worn in ... show more
