Adult coloring books are, very simply, coloring in books for grownups. Like children's coloring books, they are full of outline illustrations designed to be filled in with colored pencils, markers, crayons, or whatever other media you wish to use. Coloring has been found to help relieve stress and anxiety, and this book is a perfect tool to get you started! The images in this coloring book by Blush Designs are fun and creative. The images range from very detailed with some very small space to images with larger spaces that allow for larger tipped markers, though fine tip or bullet tip is about as big as I would want to try. I found myself very focused when working on these pages, the outside world kind of faded away for a while. If you like to play with color combinations, this book is for you. I was disappointed in the variety of dragons in this book. Most are Chinese dragons, they are not very well drawn (in comparison to other coloring books at this price point) and none of them inspired me to pick up my pencils/markers and commence to coloring. I mean, when you get a new coloring book, isn't there usually a bunch of pictures that you look at and think, boy, I can't wait to color this one! Or maybe just grab up your markers and jump in coloring? Not so much this book. Also, the book is called "Doodle Dragons" which lead me to believe that I could work my own patterns into the dragons, but in reality, nearly all of them are already filled with patterns too small to subdivide into your own patterns/doodles.
